Position reports to: General Manager Business Development
- Produce documents relating to the expenses & financial risk of engineering projects.
- Designing project solutions that are detailed and in-depth and are economically aligned with the expectations of a client.
- Utilizing Business Management System to calculate costs & assess risk of projects.
Manage to prepare tenders
Communicating tenders strategy & directing the efforts of the tender support team
Liaise with other departments to ensure tender deadlines are met
To manage tender pre-qualification submissions
Updating the Line Manager on regular basis about progress & areas of difficulties
Coordinating the full handover to the Project Manager afterwards
Monitoring & maintaining security of info & data
Develop market research methods and indicators to identify major prospects. Establish methods to determine the probability of winning each major identified project to assist in the total forward planning of workload and resources
Participate in business strategy formulation and implementation
Participate in the preparation of medium term financial plans to ensure they are feasible in marketing terms and in the relevant market sector
Liaise with other Marketing Proposal Managers, providing market intelligence and co-ordinating the corporate and local plans for each market segment.
Oversee, co-ordinate and evaluate branch selling activities, review actual sales against plan, and take corrective action on major deviations from the plan.
Brief management on the economic and business viability of the proposals they submit to potential clients, there by ensuring business won is profitable.
Assess potential sales and marketing opportunities in the area and recommend the allocation of financial and human resources required to turn these opportunities into achieved sales.
Negotiate with selected major potential clients and provide marketing and sales support facilities to management to ensure they have a competitive edge when negotiating major sales and contracts.
Quality Assurance Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the WorleyParsons Quality Assurance system
Safety Responsible for personal safety and adherence to WorleyParsons Zero Harm philosophy. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Minimum 12 years marketing and proposal development and commercial experience ideally in the Oil and Gas, Hydrocarbon, Petrochemicals and Mining industries/sectors with minimum 5 years experience as Proposal Coordinator/Proposal Manager
Experience with EPC and engineering contractor preferred
Engineering Degree qualified, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical engineering
