Project Risk Management for Oil & Gas

Effectively managing risks to ensure project integrity, profitability and ROI

8th & 9th March 2010  |  Gran Melia Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia

Get immersed with this highly interactive workshop!
Kindly bring along own pocket calculators.

Risk is a constant factor in all industries, particularly the oil, gas and petrochemicals sector. Determining appropriate ways to manage and mitigate risks is absolutely crucial to the ultimate success of projects.

Your course trainer:
Dr Paul Giammalvo, CDT, CCE, MBA, MScPM
PT. Mitratata Citragraha
For over 12 years, Paul has been providing Project Management training and consulting throughout South East Asia. He is also active in the Global Project Management Community, serving as an Advocate and Missionary for and on behalf of the profession in the region. Paul has spent 18 of the last 30 years working on large, highly technical international projects, including such prestigious projects as the Negev Airbase Project (part of the Camp David Peace Accords) in Ovda, Israel, Alyeska Pipeline and the Distant Early Warning Site (DEW Line) upgrades in Alaska.

Key benefits and learning outcomes:
• Developing a deeper understanding of how risk affects all aspects of project management - Scope, Cost, Time and Quality.
• Consciously creating, structuring and drafting your contracts to mitigate and transfer risk appropriately
• Enhancing management skills that will improve the efficiency of integrated project administration and management
• Improving the skills in dispute avoidance and resolution in all aspects of the organisation, in relation to not only external contracts, but also internal relationships
• Identifying drafting issues that arise on common causes of problems, and how to negotiate these terms, both internally with your
own management and externally, with contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Benchmarking best practices and tools of risk management as it relates to Scope, Cost, Time and Quality through better or more effective contracting practices

Pre-course questionnaire
To ensure that you gain maximum benefit from this event, a detailed questionnaire will be sent to you to establish exactly what your training needs are. The completed forms will be analysed by the course trainer. As a result, we ensure the course is delivered at an appropriate level and that relevant issues will be addressed. The comprehensive course material will enable you to digest the subject matter in your own time.
