Position 1 – Country Legal Counsel & Integrity Officer - ID68930275

Job Description:

ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility, industry, transport and infrastructure customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact.

As an Officer, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Legal department, provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.

Reporting to the Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

• Structure, draft, negotiate and close commercial transactions.

• Provide legal advice on large scale projects, multi millions USD contracts and related documentation but not limited to products sales. Create legal forms and best practice.

• Work with the business teams to develop legal templates and processes for new business and commercial models

• Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management

• Organizing, preparing agendas, preparing circular resolutions for and taking minutes of Boards meetings and General Meetings of Shareholders (GMS)

• Maintaining statutory books, including registers of shareholders, directors and commissioners

• Provide regulatory and compliance advice, and be a motivator and energizer for a strong culture of integrity and compliance in the company

• Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action

• Keep abreast of regulatory developments and industry initiatives and advise the management accordingly

Requirement:

Key requirements include:

 

• A Degree in Law.

• More than 10 years of experience in contract administration and contract negotiation.

• Strong leadership, managerial and communication skills.

• Experience in dealing with government and commercial officials.

• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
