1. Head of Bunker

Overview:

Handling responsibility for optimal bunker planning, fuel requisition, and other operational need in accordance with HSE standards and applicable rules. Reporting to the Director.

Job Description:

• Ensure bunkers are procured at a rate that is both attractive to the customer and also benefits the company.

• Ensure bunker procurement is following legislation and internal policies.

• Ensure strong governance on the bunkering team, policies and procedures.

•  Negotiate and manage bunker contract. Organize and maintain an efficient requisition, purchase order, and reporting system.

• Handle dispute resolutions, identify and resolve all bunker related operational issues immediately with vessels and operation.

• Develop sourcing strategies to enhance decision making.

• Manage overall bunker supplier evaluation process (i.e. price, quantity, quality and other performance metrics, etc.)

• Control budget usable and need.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Hold minimum Bachelor Degree in Economics, Marine Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.

• Previous experience in Bunker Supply in shipping is essential. At least 5 years of experience as a bunker/oil trading or sales, upstream operation, bunker purchaser or similar role.

• Possess a strong analytical mindset and is a solid negotiator.

• Advanced communication skills.

• Able to work independently and in a team.

• Showing good team leader and management skills.

• Excellent administrative and organizations skills and capable of establishing and maintaining project operation.

• Expected to present data to Director in a clear and concise manner.
