Eni: Network Engineer

Eni In Indonesia currently holds participating interests in 14 PSCs of which 10 are as operators. The PSCs are spread from the western part (Krueng Mane, Aceh) to the eastern part (Arguni I, Papua Barat), and also from north border (Ambalat, northern Kalimantan) down to the south border (West Timor, Offshore Timor Sea, Nusa Tenggara Timur). We are looking for qualified personnel with high motivation, initiative and integrity to fill in the following positions:

NETWORK ENGINEER

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain documentation/procedures related with network configuration, network mapping, processes and service records

• Collaborate with Eni HQ and department team in planning network capacity needs

• Perform server and security audits

• Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, firewalls, switches, UPS, and other hardware

• Design, implement and maintain VoIP phone system to include call manager, voice gateway and end point devices

• Design, implement and maintain Audio/Video systems

• Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware and software upgrades

• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards to remain well-informed of developments in networking industry

• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines and other network appliances

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed and prepare network performance statistics and reports

• Manage network security, analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manners

• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information

• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices

• Manage servers, including database, email, printers and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software including and system backups and recovery

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Minimum undergraduate degree in technical discipline or Computer Science/Information Technology or related

- Required Experience: 2 years’ experience in Oil and Gas industry, 5 years of experience in ICT 

- Languages:  Indonesian (fluent), English (fluent)

Knowledge, Technical, and Professional Skills:

- Hold minimum one of networking certification: Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or other vendor specific certificates such as Juniper Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE)

- Project Management, Problem Solving & Troubleshooting, Employee Induction including HSE Awareness

- Windows Server Administration. LAN & Networking, WAN, WLAN, WWAN design, implementation and configuration

Required Competencies: 

- Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles and general network management best practices

- Proven experience with VoIP phone systems

- Good hardware troubleshooting experience

- Competence with testing tools, procedures for voice and data circuits

- Good understanding of organization’s goals and objectives

- Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

- Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required

- Able to present ideas in user-friendly language

- Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to details

- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Able to work under pressure and effectively prioritize tasks

- Customer services oriented, able to work as a team in a collaborative environment

- Provide and maintain safe and healthy conditions of work to subordinate personnel and control over the compliance by the personnel all safety and labor protection rules and regulations

- HSES awareness in all duties and activities / compliance enforcement with general HSES rules
