EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – SAFETY MANAGER INDONESIA (926575)

(Jakarta Head Office)

Some of your duties will include:

• To provide strategic advice, information and assistance to Thiess management and employees in order to promote and maintain a healthy and safe environment to everyone to work.

• Ensure a framework of policies, procedures and auditing to assist in the development of such an environment while maintaining our high profiles as industry leader in safety.

• Ensure a cost-effective rehabilitation policy and procedures are in place that ensures employees return to work able to perform their duties in the minimum amount of time.

• Ensure health and hygiene standards are established and maintained.

• Ensure appropriate systems are in place for monitoring of employee exposure to industrial hazards, e.g noise/fumes/hazard substances/radiation.

• Conduct safety and quality audits of all workplaces at intervals not exceeding 3 months to ensure compliance to Thiess Governance System (TGS) and to assist workplaces identify areas for improvement.

• Review all accident/incident and confirm or recommend remedial action to be implemented.

• Provide timely, relevant strategic plans and advice that reflect our business needs and ensures we stay an industry leader in safety initiatives and in our safety record.

• Ensure relevant, timely, well-written information for our tenders that meet the needs of our clients and reflect our OHS status within the industry.

• Develop and review the most appropriate policies and procedures including TGS Safety System to ensure legal compliance can be exceeded and industry best standards can be met in all operations.

• Ensure the process of Risk Management is in place and that SWP’s are being developed and applied by project teams in all production areas. Promote consistent understanding of safe production methods to reduce the instances of random incidents.

• Ensure accurate records of incidents, accident investigations and all legally required records are readily available on request.

• Use information gathered from records to provide management with a relevant/accurate picture of our safety and health position and identify areas requiring attention

What skills and experience do you need?

• Degree of qualification in Safety is preferable

• Similar experience in multinational company – essential

• At least 10 year-experience in Safety Management

• Understanding of mining and construction business – desirable

• Experience working overseas – desirable

• Superior communication skills, fluent in English both written and verbal – essential

SENIOR SUPERVISOR CONTRACT – 926160

(Jakarta Head Office)

Some of your duties will include:

• To manage contract functions, supervise and manage a group of Contract Specialists, coordinate contracts administration activities for tender and awarding process, respond to contract performance issues, contribute to Thiess corporate objectives

• Manage and responsible for supervising a group of Contract Specialist in performing daily activities/job tasks, achieving team goals and meet the objectives

• Reviewing tender and contract documents to ensure the necessary term and conditions are all incorporated.

• Analyzing all required analysis to ensure it is the most favorable option to the Company.

• Accept responsibility and be accountable for actions

• Avoid situations resulting in a conflict of interest, bribery or the use of inducements to secure business

• Manage and coordinate the flow of information concerning contractual appointments, termination and contractual related correspondence to suppliers and sites

• Communicate with clients/sites regarding sub & supply contract matters.

• Respond to contract inquiries from clients/sites and other departments.

• Periodically review operational procedures to assure maintenance of confidentiality of both document files and data systems

• Justify Tender cost savings

• Liaise with Project and Ops Managers on any contractual issues

• Negotiate with suppliers on contractual disputes

• Monitor Supplier & Subcontractor performances during contract period (6 monthly subcontractor/supplier evaluation reports)

• Monitor continues feedback and decisions from contract specialist in assisting user for contractual issues

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economy, Civil, Mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering with 8 years' experience in contract related In Procurement Contract area with minimum 3 years of working experience as Senior Supervisor Contract or similar from any industry background;

• Must have skill in Supply Chain Contracts Management; knowledge of tendering process, business contract drafting, purchasing experience

• Knowledge of Tendering process, Business Contract Drafting, Purchasing Experiences, Negotiation and Communication Skills. Will attend a lot of face to face meetings with Vendors, end users and also within internal Supply Chain

• Strong skills in communication, leadership, problem solving and negotiation; self-motivated, have a good planning skill and high initiatives; fluent in English both oral as well written and computer literacy

SPECIALIST CONTRACT – 926324

(Jakarta Head Office)

Some of your duties will include:

• Administer and control the implementation of contract’s  scope of work and technical specifications

• Preparing tender documents with suitable conditions in order to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in term of minimise any exposure to risk for company

• Monitor contract implementation to ensure that both, subcontractors and company follow the contractual requirements of the contract to ensure that company is not exposed to unnecessary costs or penalties.

• Evaluate and analyse all legal aspects of contracts and manage such to stay abreast of company change/risk.

• Maintain and manage the contract database and all associated files, duties include administration, tracking, and analysis, as well as communication of contract compliance.

• Develop and maintain terms and conditions for any contract agreements. Recommend modifications in order to accommodate regulatory, legislative, industry or Company changes.

• Analyse tender bid a establish the sub & supply contract agreements: Tender invitation announcement; Tender packet development; Tender participants selection; Tender Packet distribution; Tender Bid Analysis; Participants short listing; Final Evaluation/Clarification Meetings; Contract Value Reconciliation Analysis; and Contract Awarding.

• Monitor Supplier & Subcontractor performances during contract period.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Graduate from bachelor degree in Economics, Civil, Industrial Engineering, and Business administration

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement/Contract with minimum 3 years of working experience as Specialist Contract or similar position from any industry background

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa, written and verbal; and Computer literacy

SUPERINTENDENT PLANT OPERATIONS (BIG DIGGER, DRILL & PUMP) – 926442

Some of your duties will include:

• To ensure that the maintenance department goals are achieved, by following the procedures set out in the TMS.

• Communication and reporting. Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues, and prioritizing of equipment repairs.

• Ensure that all area supervisors accurately complete daily breakdown reports, supervisors shift report, PCR’s for submission the planning and administration before 8am every day. Ensure accurate   breakdown hours information is provided

• Analysis of component condition and recommendation of parts required. Ensure correct procedures used when troubleshooting breakdowns and failures

• Review operator’s checklist summary and mechanical inspection sheets, ensure submission to planning department with repair and parts recommendation. Ensure supervisors and mechanic raise recommended parts lists accurately to address all known work, breakdowns, and planned maintenance

• Planning and co-ordination of shut down work in cooperation with planning department. Ensure all repairs are carried out in a cost effective and timely manner

• Investigation and reporting of all accident damage to all equipment in the field and associated area, this includes operator abuse

• Ensure a safe working environment for all employee by ensure all activities are carry out according to the work procedures in the TMC and the project management plan

• Ensure that there is no impact on the environment from the activities that are carried out to operate and repair equipment by ensuring that the procedures in the TMS and Site Management plan are followed

• Ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Mechanical Engineer or Ex Apprentice with minimum 15 years’ experience in mining equipment maintenance;

• Requires a minimum 5 years’ experience in similar managerial role as Senior Superintendent Plant Operations;

• Understanding the heavy plant business; knowledge in OEM products in Heavy Equipment; handling diagnostic skills in all aspects of mechanical and auto electrical heavy equipment repairs; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision;

• Mechanic experience on Thiess Heavy Equipment e.g. Cat, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi; Drills, Pump;

• Mechanic experience on Thiess equipment e.g.  Cat, Komatsu, Liebherr, Coal hauling and lifting equipment.

• Knowledge of welding procedures

• IT Literacy

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring and negotiation/mediation; good analytical; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills;

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – SUPERINTENDENT TYRE (926574)

(Balikpapan)

Some of your duties will include:

• To manage Tyre and Rim Safe Operation, Maintenance and implement Thiess Safety Essentials in Tyres and Rims, monitor & audit compliance including Truck Weighing in Thiess Asia Business Unit

• Regular check Tyre Repair quality and standards in all sites

• Conduct Tyre Repair Training when required

• Prepare up-to-date Training Materials for Tyre Awareness

• Guide site Tyre Repair personnel to perform correct maintenance to Tyre Reapir Machine and Tools

• Establish Tyre Repair set up in new sites

• Conduct Truck Weighing in sites which requires the need

• After Truck Weighing conduct close out meeting and make sure the objectives and goals are achieved with the satisfaction of Site Management

• Perform OEM class weigh scales maintenance

• Calibrate the weigh scales regularly to achieve accurate results

• Update Mining Operation TKPH regularly working jointly with Mining Engineering when there are changes in hauling profile

• Coordinate with the Plant Technical Manager and Tyre Management Team for ordering the correct specs of OTR tyres, medium trucks including rim and components

What skills and experience do you need?

• Engineering Graduate/Apprenticeship or Qualifications relevant to role ; Bachelor of Science in Preparatory Medicine - irregular 4th year

• Willing to travel to Projects when needed

• Highly effective communication skills

• Excellent people management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people to accomplish work

• Willing to work beyond working hours and roster when required

SPECIALIST TRAINING LIFTING – 926556

(Balikpapan – Contract Basis)

Some of your duties will include:

• To train and assess TCI employees in mining projects for all aspects of lifting equipment: mobile crane, forklift, crane truck, tele handler, elevated work platform and overhead crane training, lifting study in order to achieve optimum safety best performance and maximum productivity with a high focus on safety and to ensure that TCI lifting equipment training requirements are being conducted in accordance with the TGS;

• Plan Lifitng Equipment training activities with minimal disruption to production activities in order that training facilities and resources are optimised;

• Assist in the design, review or update of lifting equipment-training material which is relevant to used competency standards;

• Actively involved in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training activities and provide report to superiors when noncompliance found;

• Provide accurate report and feedback of training activities to site supervision and TCI Training & Development supervisors in order to keep the alignment systems between training & development and sites and assist in database improvement.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum graduated from Senior High School/ vocational school or similar with minimum of 5 years’ experience within the mining and/or construction industry as a mobile crane trainer or previous Supervisory experience required with Lifting equipment’s OHS License (SIO) class I including other lifting support equipment: crane truck, overhead crane, forklift, telehandler and elevated work platform;

• Certificate IV in Workplace Training; Rigging Inspector certificate and Crane Inspector Certificate is preferred.

• Strong communication skills; facilitation skills; presentation skills; computer and English literacy; have self-confident, familiar with work in under pressure;

SPECIALIST TRAINING CRC – 926459

(Balikpapan – Contract Basis)

Some of your duties will include:             

• Provide training to TCI employees and CRC team in all aspects of mechanical in order to increase productivity, maintenance and improve personnel's capability, including delivering effective theoretical & practical training in accordance with Thiess standard

• Assist in the design of training material which is relevant to used competency standards;

• Provide report and feedback of training activities to CRC supervision and TCI Training & Development Supervisors in order to keep the alignment systems between Training & Development and CRC

• Actively involved in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training activities and provide report to superiors when noncompliance found;

• Provide accurate report based on training report participants' data to Plant Training in order to assist in database improvement

• Provide result of training to Superintendent CRC, Superintendent Plant Training and CRC Manager

What skills and experience do you need?

• Heavy earth moving equipment technical codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader

• Certificate IV in Workplace Training

• Experience as Trainer of English assemble & Powertrain assemble at least 5 years

• Minimum of 7 years experience within the mining industry as heavy equipment tradesman
