JOB POSTING – KARIMUN

1. POSITION   : Sand Blaster

Working Experiences : More than 5 years in similar position or similar field

Working Status  : Temporary / Contract

Work location   : Karimun

REQUIRED WORKING SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/SERTIFICATION

1. Having Knowledge of all the main international construction standards, codes and regulations.

2. Having knowledge of blasting techniques, equipment and consumables including the techniques used by SAIPEM pipe-coating subcontractors.

3. Ability to apply blasting techniques. Awareness of new technologies in use in the market.

4. Knowledge of painting techniques and ability to select the most suitable system depending on the design and the operative conditions of the project.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Ensure the performance of sand blasting activities following Foreman instructions and in accordance with safety and quality standards

• Perform sand blasting activities in accordance with safety and quality requirements

• Follow daily instructions given by Foreman

• Ensure sand blasting is carried out according to the applicable painting procedure

• Verify the equipment and consumables are in good and safe operating conditions and report any anomalies to the Foreman

• Ensure coordination with the adjacent works to minimize co-activities and eliminate unsafe conditions

• Follow the permit -to-work statement

• Ensure the housekeeping of the work location

2. POSITION   : Painter

Working Experiences : More than 5 years in similar position or similar field

Working Status  : Temporary / Contract

Work location   : Karimun

REQUIRED WORKING SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/SERTIFICATION

• Knowledge of storage procedures for materials preservation. Understand and use correctly material safety data sheets.

• Knowledge of painting techniques and ability to select the most suitable system depending on the design and the operative conditions of the project.

• Capability to apply painting techniques.

• General knowledge of main subcontractors for painting services and suppliers of painting materials used by SAIPEM.

• Knowledge of the painting materials, painting systems, application processes, technology and painting equipment required by SAIPEM projects.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Coordinate and control the work of the dependent team based on sandblasting and painting Scope of Work assigned

• Distribute the equipment and materials to allow the team to perform the assigned activities

• Ensure that operators and all personnel belonging to the team strictly observe applicable safety standards

• Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality requirements

• Give instructions to the te am in order to execute the sand blasting and painting works as per applicable painting system

• Coordinate and check the work carried out by the team, reporting any difficulties to the works supervisor

• Organise all the means, e quipment and materials necessary to perform the work. Check that they comply with applicable provisions, report any anomalies and coordinate any corrective actions

• Liaise with the works supervisor in order to optimize the use of equipment and personnel

• Carry out the daily toolbox talkings

• Verify the sand blasting and painting works are always carried out in appropriate habitats, preventing dispersion of grit and toxic products in the environment

• Ensure adherence to the planned time frame

• Ensure that any approved modification made during the execution of the works is duly marked-up on the relevant drawings, in order to allow the issue of As Built documentation

• Provide the works supervisor with data on quantities produced for updating progress reports and quantities accounting

• Provide the work supervisor with data on manpower, equipment, tools and material used

• Implement the permit-to-work system

• Liaise with other disciplines on ongoing operations

• Ensure the housekeeping of the work location

4. POSITION   : Handling and Lifting Supervisor

Education   : University Graduate on Technical Major

Working Experiences : More than 5 years in similar position or similar field

Working Status  : Temporary / Contract

Work location   : Karimun

REQUIRED WORKING SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/SERTIFICATION

• Understanding of how a project execution and construction plan in framed. Ability to interpret and understand construction plans.

• Ability to execute the construction plan.

• Knowledge of various types of lifting methodologies, including suitability of each methods to specific operational needs.

• Knowledge of risks associated with lifting and associated mitigation techniques.

• Capability to read and interpret lifting technical project documents such as lifting plans and to identify hazard and risks related to lifting operations (mandatory periodical control, lifting plan, etc.).

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Supervise the execution of handling and lifting activities, both performed by subcontractors and in direct hiring, verifying that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and in the planned time frame

• Support the handling and lifting subcontractors or the direct hiring personnel ensuring the feasibility (availability of method drawings, procedures and materials) of the works

• Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are respected

• Ensure the fulfilment of the project quality and contractual requirements

• Verify and confirm the availability of method drawings, procedures and materials, to plan the efficient execution of the works performed by subcontractors or by assigned direct hiring personnel

• Assist subcontractors or assigned direct hiring personnel for the correct interpretation of the method drawings and procedures, providing support in the solution of technical problems

• Prepare and coordinate the detailed programs for the assigned activities

• Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surplus

• Verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with the project specifications, highlighting any engineering problems encountered in the field

• Measure the progress of the works carried out

• Provide quantitative data for producing weekly progress reports, monitoring the employed manpower

• Ensure the continuous assessment of the quantities installed

• Verify the handling and lifting equipment used for the works are in safe and good operating conditions and report any anomalies to the superintendent

5. POSITION   : Handling and Lifting Superintendent

Education   : Diploma / University Graduate on Technical Major

Working Experiences : More than 5 years in similar position or similar field

Working Status  : Temporary / Contract

Work location   : Karimun

REQUIRED WORKING SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/SERTIFICATION

• Capability to interface the Client, managing the contract and the development of the activities.

• Knowledge of all the main international construction standards, codes and regulations. Ability to interpret them and to supervise their application.

• Knowledge of the concept of personnel rightsizing and the methodologies to estimate the needed number of resources and their skills in order to meet project milestones and targets.

• Understanding of how a project execution and construction plan in framed. Ability to interpret and understand construction plans.

• Knowledge of measurement methodologies and material quantities, in order to control the progress of the works.

• Knowledge of various types of lifting methodologies, including suitability of each methods to specific operational needs.

• Knowledge of risks associated with lifting and associated mitigation techniques.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Organize, coordinate and control the execution of handling and lifting activities, both performed by subcontractors and in direct hiring, ensuring the management of the interfaces with all construction disciplines and engineering departments, overseeing the availability of handling and lifting equipment and verifying that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and schedule

• Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety and quality standards are respected

• Ensure the fulfilment of the project quality and contractual requirements

• Set-up time schedule adhering to the time frame allocated to the specific scope of work

• Coordinate and organize, when in direct hiring, handling and lifting activities to ensure correct and cost-effective performance, in accordance with the established operating programs, coordinating and controlling the activities performed by the dependent teams

• Give all information regarding the progress of the work indicating the cause of deviations between the program and the work carried out and propose solutions and/or request instructions to overcome these problems

• Ensure proper discipline workflow, interfacing with the project (home office and/or site/yard) organization and client

• Support the resolution of technical problems encountered during the execution of the works

• Ensure the correct quantities accounts of the works, including updating manhours and preliminary cost estimates for scope of work changes

• Ensure the supervision and monitoring of the Handling and Lifting activities performed, subcontracted or in direct hiring. Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surplus

• Assure that execution data are recorded and maintained, during the entire Project life, according to Project Control requirements through the Project Approved tools, in order to allow the gathering of parameters

• Manage the technical and administrative documentation

• Create and keep updated the lifting and handling equipment register with all the necessary information: certification, maintenance, color coding, etc.

• Participate to the definition, agree and apply critical lifting methodologies out of standard lifting operations as defined by procedures

• Ensure that lifting activities are covered by lifting plans where applicable

• Contribute to continuous improvement process through the provision of suggestions regarding methodologies, tools, material management
