We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:

Coordinator OHS (926615)

(Melak)

In this role you will:

• Provide direction, advice, assistance and materials to Department Heads to helps them fulfil their Safety responsibilities;

• Leasing with the project Safety Superintendent to identify programs to ensure Safety compliance;

• Conducting internal monthly audits of all department and subcontractor;

• Formulating continues safety improvement program and monitor of the implementation of the program;

• Participating in and conducting risk assessments and participating in risk assessment programmes were required;

• Promoting safety through safety training, coaching supervisor to build their capability with regard to work safely;

• Ensuring that accurate Safety records are always available for Auditing.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Have a minimum Tertiary Education or Strata 1 from Occupational Health and Safety discipline;

• 7 years' experience in open pit coal mining area as Safety Coordinator position;

• Having strong knowledge about Safety, Health & Quality (HSQ) Standard, OHSAS 18001, SMK3, SMKP, Safety Auditor, risk management process; familiar with Safety management at all levels;

• Strong leadership, self-motivated, honest, ability to influence, innovative and problem solving, good behaviour and can work individually and team work; Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.

EOI – Superintendent Mining (926734)

In this role you will:

• To co-ordinate all mining supervisors in the workplace of the removal of overburden/inter burden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area.

• Ensure the selection of projects that match objectives of Business Plan by ensuring risks in tender and contract conditions are recognised and accounted for.

• Plan, direct, monitor and reconcile the technical aspect of the mining operations  including daily, short to long term (annual) plans, operational performance, blast design and sequencing, rehabilitation, drainage and road design, to assist in achieving agreed  production targets.

• Familiar with the current Mine Plan and future deployment of equipment within area of responsibility.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Senior High School or Graduate from SMU/Tertiary Degree in Mine Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum of 10 years previous experience in a similar role experience in large open cut mining operation of which at least one or two years in production/service supervision/ management role.

Paramedic (926733)

In this role you will:

• Develop and Implement Occupational Health at Site;

• Providing medical Info for safety talk and notice board;

• Monitoring and following up injury management, Rehabilitation and Hygiene inspection and food sanitation at catering provider then report to management;

• Providing medical evacuation drill, Involving First Aid and Emergency Rescue Team; Conducting Training on medical first response and rescue to all team members;

• Improving internal site medical first response and rescue team competency, oversee preparation of emergency response facilities and team;

• Facilitating implementation of the project health and safety improvement plan.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Nursing Academy; Minimum 2 years as First Aider; Training in fire & Rescue; BLS and ATLS; Hyperkes training. Have competency and skill based on emergency response specific case; Understand about HSE standard on mining and plant activities, OHS Regulations Statutory regulations.

• The candidate should fluent in English both oral and written, and proficient in computer literacy; strong communication both of external and internal; proactive, initiative & innovative.

EOI – Supervisor Mechanic (926735)

In this role you will:

• To ensure that the Maintenance Department goals are achieved MA>90 %, MTBS>60 hours Zero LTI, by following the procedures which are set up in TGS.

• Communication and reporting. Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues, and prioritizing of equipment repairs.

• Ensure to accurate the completion of daily breakdown report for reviewing by the Senior Supervisor before end of shift every day.

• Analysis of component condition and recommendation of parts required. Ensure that the correct procedures are used when breakdowns and failures troubleshooting.

• Ensure all WOs open status have been compared with current break down equipment to make sure all WOs are controlled and closed if the job has been done.

• Review DOOD (Daily Outstanding Operator Defect), SOS report, mechanical inspection are analysed and reviewed and also ensure it is submitted in daily complete with the part recommendation. Ensure the mechanic raises the list of part recommended accurately to address all backlog, breakdowns and planned maintenance

• Ensure all break down machine are reported in IMTC, and all information repair description, coding, start and finish have been filled in IMTC correctly.

• Prepare parts equipment and manpower for planned work and shutdown days, Ensure all repairs are carried out in an effective cost and timely manner.

• Investigation and reporting of all accident damage to all equipment in the field and associated area, this is included with the operator abuse.

• Make a safe working environment for all employees by ensuring all activities are carry out according to the work procedures in the TMS, JSEAs are relevant and all hazards are controlled.

• Ensure that there is no impact for the environment from the activities that are carried out to operate and repair equipment by ensuring that the procedures in the TGS are followed.

• Ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe and make sure subordinate understand of our objectives and Thiess policies, and address all safety information to crew.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Senior High School / Technical High School

• 5 Year experience in mechanical repair and supervisor in the mining industry. Planning of mechanical repair.

• People handling skill diagnostic skills in all aspects of electrical and mechanical repairs.

• First aid, Incident Investigation.

• Repair and maintain medium and heavy duty equipment.

Technical Advisor – Dewatering (926737)

In this role, you will:

• Planning organizing and coordinating all rehabilitation and dewatering activities in accordance with overall mining project objectives

• Monitoring and reconciling all technical aspects of project rehabilitation and pumping operations

• Maximizing pump field utilization to achieve targets above 90% pump mechanical availability

• Maximizing utilization and effectiveness of all rehabilitation equipment (above 95%)

• Leading and motivating the operational rehabilitation and dewatering team to achieve stated objectives

• Produce regular written reports for of all site pumping and rehabilitation activities.

What skills and experience do you need?

• 8 years experiences in large open cut mining operation which at least 3 years in production or service supervision or management role in similar role

• Preferable applicant is an expatriate.

• Cross Cultural Management sensitivity coupled with relevant overseas experience would be well regarded as would prior exposure to assisting with managing relationships with a client mining house.

• A demonstrated hands-on disposition will be essential but equally important will be your communication and interpersonal skills, resilience and flexibility as well as your ability to develop and maintain a performance driven culture to ensure success in a constantly challenging environment.

• Ability to work on a fly-in-out overseas mine site

Superintendent Mining (926738)

• Applicants should have a minimum graduated from Senior High School or Degree in Mining/Civil Engineering is preferred; requires a minimum 5 years' professional experience in similar role as Superintendent Mining with relevant qualifications in large open cut mining operation;

• Mining heavy industry experience is essential; could operate mining equipment;

• Good leadership and people management skills preferably with training in staff supervision; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English; be able to operate computer; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; Posses POM (Pengawas Operasional Madya) certification at Mine and Energy Department.

Supervisor Pump (926739)

Supervisor Mechanic (926740)

In this role, you will:

• Ensure that maintenance department goals are achieved and plant preventive maintenance policies and procedures are implemented

• Compilation of Weekly and fortnightly planned work that is allocated.

• Prepare for planned work in conjunction with maintenance plan.

• Reassign manpower as minor changes to plan.  Schedule to accommodate breakdown repairs, and prioritization from mining department as requested by Plant Superintendent / Plant Site Manager

• Ensure all parts required for breakdowns and know work are ordered promptly and their progress checked regularly with Senior supervision and planning

• Ensure correct manpower levels for shutdown work with planning department

• Ensure work is completed on time and operations are notified

• Ensure completed equipment is registered with plant dispatcher and transferred to the GO-LINE

• Ensure that all employees under your control follow the dispatch procedure.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Technical high school, Mechanical Trade Specialist

• 3 years’ experience in mechanical repair and supervision in the mining industry. Planning of mechanical repair.

• Be able to communicate well and discipline people

• People handling skills and diagnostic skill in all aspects of mechanical repairs
