1. POSITION   : Deputy Project Manager Topside

• Knowledge of relevant Construction sequences and planning

• Ability to execute Construction sequences planning , including the scheduling of the activities

• Ability to implement the right staffing for construction activities and sequences for all relevant disciplines

• Capability to define project scope in order to meet the needs and expectations of the interested parties

• Knowledge, understanding and application of HSE procedures and Project requirements for all project phases

• Know project management techniques

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Ensure, for the fabrication phase/activities performed both in internal and external yards, the achievement of the established cost, time, quality, health, safety and environment objectives in order to meet the contractual obligations

• Express Fabrication needs during the E&P phase (e.g., Make or Buy, Constructability, Material Management) identifying optimum balance between time, cost and feasibility

• Ensure the proper contract analysis and the review of contractual documents

• Ensure the implementation of methodologies related to risk and knowledge management and to Saipem Golden and Silver Rules

• Supervise the economic and financial tasks by defining the most appropriate methodology to be applied to produce the project economic indicators of Feasibility

• Define project strategies and the scope of work of each Party (e.g. Proposal Plan, Project Architecture, Project Organization, Project Execution Plan, Quality Plan, Procurement Plan, Overall Resource Plan, etc.), ensuring the project activity planning

• Approve and supervise planning and cost control activities supported by the other project organisation roles, implementing the corrective actions needed to achieve the established project objectives

• Ensure the integration of packages prepared by each Operating Company, Partners (if any) and Subcontractors and reconcile possible discrepancies

• Manage the post-bid clarification phase with the Client

• Supervise site/yard and offshore activities

• Capability to define and select maintenance concepts and guidelines based on the type of unit and required functionality

• Knowledge and experience in commissioning and start-up activities. Experience in Test-run procedures and operations.

• Knowledge of construction sequences for relevant disciplines

• Ability to execute construction sequences planning, including the scheduling of the activities, in order to ensure the achievement of mechanical completion in respect of the schedule and the final handover

• Knowledge of erection sequences and production methodologies

• Knowledge Fabrication and installation techniques

• Knowledge Fabrication Engineering project management

• Knowledge Machinery and tools for fabrication

• Capability to lead a world-class maintenance department or project using planning and scheduling best practices to drive work execution, using motivational and time-management techniques to improve maintenance worker productivity.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Ensure the execution of Project Fabrication production activities, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, making sure that safety, quality, time, cost and yields requirements are met

• Coordination of production project activities in yard, ensuring correct information flow between Yard Project Managers and Production department

• Support Yard Project Managers in the identification of technical solutions

• Represent Production during interactions with client

• Participate to HSE initiatives involving client representatives in the yard

• Promote project safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety and quality standards are respected

• Participate in project planning and scheduling, liaising for this purpose with other organizations and functions involved in executing the project and assuring the most suitable solutions in terms of construction method

• Plan and control project production tools, equipment and personnel needed to execute fabrication projects' activities,

ensuring overall resource optimization

• Participate, insofar as within remit and in liaison with HSE, in the preparation of the general HSE Plan, the HSE Plan for the project construction and the HSE Manual for the activities within own area of responsibility

• Prepare project production personnel mobilization plan

• Supervise the project works performed by both subcontractors or in direct hiring, approving production work progress

• Knowledge of project's contractual clauses related to liability and indemnities and knowledge of risk mitigation/risk transfer tools

• Knowledge of legal principles, obligations, responsibility related to partnership agreements (Joint Ventures, Consortia, Heads of Agreement, Frame Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding, etc.) where Company or any of its affiliates is involved.

• Ability to execute activities related to reviewing legal principles, obligations, responsibility with regards to partnership agreements

• Knowledge of Contract Management Execution (claim and change management with regards to partners, suppliers and customers

• Capability to Review and evaluation of contract requirements to analyse the contract, identifying all requirements related to the specific discipline and ability to evaluate any impact on project activities.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Ensure the overall management of the activities carried out by the subcontractor (either those done in house yard or done at subcontractor premises) in order to grant works delivery in accordance with fabrication planned sequences needs and subsequent accounting / invoicing

• Support yard/project relevant functions for strategic yard/project subcontracting plan

• Support the yard Production Planning and Control Dept for all the subcontract procurement activities

• Support PM Yard on subcontractor kick-off meetings, work start-up with effective subcontractor activation, documentation gathering and distribution to relevant yard functions, granting contractual correspondence management/effectiveness during project execution

• Support PM Yard on subcontractor monitoring/control activities, liaison with Saipem functions (technical office, procurement, administration, etc.) for proper change management (subcontract change/revision, claims, penalties, new

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Support the Project Manager in coordinating specific technical and management topics, i.e. project internal and external interface management, contractual document issue and review, project activity planning, data analysis and report preparation, subcontractor and supplier management, preparing Project Record Books, managing spare parts, collecting certifications, supplier payments, SAP data entry, with specific responsibilities especially during the close-out phase

• During the Feasibility Phase:

• Develop techno-economic models of industrial complexes including Linear Programming (LP) techniques

• Prepare appropriate economic evaluation reports to evaluate technologies to be applied in specific projects or to evaluate the relevant competitive advantage

• During the Bidding Phase, as requested by the Project Manager:

• Analyze tender and contractual documents in order to review scope of work and schedule and to identify project requirements and constraints

• Support in the preparation of the Project Execution Plan and the project Organization Charts

• Prepare bid cost estimate of project management, construction and services, including staff, manpower, construction equipment/consumables and subcontracts

• Assist the commercial team in the selection of the reference sub-contract quotation to be included in the bid cost estimate

• During the Project Execution Phase, as requested by the Project Manager:

• Assist the Project Manager during project activity planning, e.g. in the preparation of the Execution Plans and other project procedures and Plans, in the definition of the resource allocation and of the assets and materials utilization, in the preparation of sub-contracting plans, in the assessment of the man-hours required in order to prepare/update the mobilization plan, in preparing reports relevant to resources mobilization

• Under instructions of project manager, coordinate specific topics, related to but not only, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project Record Book Spare Parts, etc.

• Coordinate external and internal interfaces

• Assist in managing Client relationships

• Assist in managing Vendors activities

• Assist in coordinating the invoicing and guarantee activities

• Assist in managing change orders and claims

• Support Project Manager to coordinate Risk Analysis

• Support the Project Management in purchase requisitions, technical evaluations, purchase order and work orders and related work progress within own field of competence

• Ensure materials availability on site
