We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:

Geologist (926837)

(Sangatta)

In this role, you will:

• To provide geological analysis for mining activities;

• To provide mine planning and production personnel with data on the geological conditions predicted for mining;

• To ensure maximum coal recovery in the most cost effectively and safe manner;

• To provide daily, weekly and monthly report about coal activities (inventory, supply, reconciliation, inspection);

• Actively contribute to a positive teamwork within pit engineering group and environment at all times;

• To communicate geological issues to the team.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering with minimum of 5 years professional experience in large open cut mining and mine engineering as Geologist;

• Understand coal quality, geological modelling, stratigraphy and basic geotechnical; Understanding of Geological Principles, Mining Equipment and Applications; Understanding and demonstrate of Engineering Software and Computer Data Management - familiar with Minescape, stratmodel.

• The candidate should fluent in English both oral and written, and proficient in computer literacy; strong leadership; self-motivated; team player; supportive; analytical thinking and think strategically; communicative; and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.

Engineer Environmental (926838)

In this role, you will:

• Develop, manage, communicate, implement, maintain, audit and review Environmental Management Plan consistently to meet ISO:14001 requirements

• Maintain ISO:14001 requirements and its performance for the project during the audit

EOI – Deputy Manager Mining (926795)

In this role, you will:

• Assist Mining Manager to co-ordinate all mining superintendent and All supervisors in the workplace of the removal of overburden/inter burden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area

• Ensure the selection of projects that match objectives of Business Plan by ensuring risks in tender and contract conditions are recognised and accounted for.

• Plan, direct, monitor and reconcile the technical aspect of the mining operations  including daily, short to long term (annual) plans, operational performance, blast design and sequencing, rehabilitation, drainage and road design, to assist in achieving agreed coal production targets.

• Familiar with the current Mine Plan and future deployment of equipment within area of responsibility.

• Check daily production figures and use them to address the problem areas.

• Minimize coal losses and dilution when removing inter burden to maximize the reverse

• Ensure ROM areas are maintained with good drainage and minimize contamination during loading.

• Analyse and review the system, procedures and equipment utilised within the mine and recommend improvements to enhance coal production.

• Maintain team performance.

• Provide regular feedback and mentor the growth and development of direct reports.

• Involve in annual assessment process and proactively seek for development plans.

• Has certified in “Madya” Certification.

Specialist Training (926839)

In this role, you will:

- To train and assess TCI mining operations personnel in all aspects of mining operations in order to achieve maximum productivity with a high focus on safety. This will include delivery of mining operations operator, mining L/H, mining trainer and supervisor training and assessment;

- Provide Heavy equipment training such as: Excavator, Bulldozer, Truck, Grader, compactor and other support equipment in construction business for Thiess personnel in order to increase the productivity, maintenance and improve personnel's capability. Including delivering effective theoretical & Practical training in accordance with Thiess standard;

- Assist in the design of training material which is relevant to used competency standards;

- Conduct assessment activities in accordance with TCI TMS and relevant Australian competency standards

- Develop the skills proficiency of workplace trainers and assessors

- Actively involved in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training activities and provide report to superiors when noncompliance found;

- Provide accurate report and feedback of training activities to site supervision and TCI Training & Development supervisors in order to keep the alignment systems between Training & Development and sites and assist in database improvement.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum graduated from Senior High School/ vocational school or similar with minimum of 10 years’ experience within the mining and/or construction industry as a HE Operator; 3-5 years’ experience as a mining operations trainer and or supervisor; familiar with Heavy earth moving equipment operator codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader; Highway truck codes; Certificate IV in Workplace Training; POP Certification;

• Strong communication skills (written & verbal); facilitation skills; presentation skills; have self-confident, familiar with work in under pressure and computer literacy;

Senior Engineer Mine Planning (926835)

In this role, you will:

- Provide technical design and support for mining engineering activities so as to maximize productivities in the most cost effective and efficient manner, while ensuring a safe professional environment is maintained;

- Provide daily advice to production personnel on the required direction of mining to achieve scheduled sequences and targets;

- To plan and set up total required equipment and production schedule to satisfy client’s demand

- To produce detailed required equipment in mining scheduling report;

- To produce a map for more permanent area of support facilities;

- To ensure a proper reserving and scheduling with using mining software;

- To produce an optimized required equipment to achieve a better profit with using mining software;

- To ensure agreed mine scheduling/ planning followed by mining operation;

- To communicate mine scheduling/ planning issues to mining operation.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum of Bachelor degree of Mine Engineering with minimum of 5 years' experience in large open cut mining and mine engineering;

• Proficient in mining principles, mine design concepts & mining methods, operations in both coal, mine operation regulatory requirements;

• Proven skills in Mine Scheduling tools utilizing software such as Minescape, Xpac and Talpac will be an advantage;

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical and focus on detail;

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; and computer literate.

Superintendent HR (926812)

In this role, you will:

• Assist Admin Manager, PM/Deputy PM to plan, lead, organize and control the role of staff HR, Training, Industrial relation, recruitment, Community Development, Security and Transportation

• Identify, conduct training programs, and develop appropriate human resource development programs in conjunction with the training department.

• Make HR reports, reports and liaison with manpower and monthly reports.

• Having work experiences in same position in leading a team (3 years), Industrial Relations (8 Years) & Recruitment (2 years)

• Have a good understanding / proficient in contemporary HR Management Issues, Employee Legislation,  Recruitment methodologies. Human Resource Information systems.

Specialist Training – Lifting (926796)

(Balikpapan)

In this role, you will:

• To train & assess TCI employees within mining and construction projects in all aspects of lifting equipment: mobile crane, forklift, crane truck, telehandler, elevated work platform and overhead crane training, lifting study in order to achieve optimum safety best performance and maximum productivity with a high focus on safety

• To ensure that TCI lifting equipment training requirements are being conducted in accordance with the Thiess Governance System (TGS)

• Assist in the design of lifting equipment training material which is relevant to used competency standards

• Actively involved in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training activities and provide report to superiors when noncompliance found

• Provide report and feedback of training activities to site supervision and TCI Training & Development supervisors in order to keep the alignment systems between training & development and sites

• Provide accurate report based on training report participants data to T&D Admin training in order to assist in database improvement

• Provide result of lifting equipment training to site superintendent, site training coordinator and TCI Training & Development Supervisors and Manager

• Conduct tests and examinations for lifting equipment personnel/operator

• Ensure all attained competencies are recorded in both hard and soft copy

• Develop the skills proficiency of workplace trainers and assessors

What skills and experience do you need?

• Senior High School/vocational school or similar

• Certificate IV in Workplace Training (Trainer/Assessor certification by Government)

• Relevant License from Government (SIO) in Mobile Crane Class 1, Overhead Crane, Forklift, Crane Truck and other lifting equipment would be an advantage

• Minimum of  5 years’ experience within the mining and/or construction industry as a mobile crane operator with Lifting equipment’s OHS License (SIO) class I including other lifting support equipment: crane truck, overhead crane, forklift, telehandler and elevated work platform & others Lifting Equipment & Lifting activity (Rigging)

• Lifting Equipment competency, Rigging, Computer & English literacy
