Copper Gold Mining Company – EPC-Power Expansion; 3 Positions

An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining, and have a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

To support our EPC Project – POWER PLANT, we are looking for highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the following position :

COORDINATOR ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY (EHS)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible for H & S activities at site

• Ensure that the site’s overall environmental health and safety program, EHS performance and Dashboard updated and in compliance with legal, company requirements at site, including incident statistics and analysis, etc.

• Participate in regular meetings, communicate on the existing EHS issues, and work out action plan for these existing EHS issues and ensure effectiveness and focus on continuous improvement.

• Organise and conduct regular EHS inspection to discover potential EHS risk, follow up relevant corrective actions till effective closure.

• Be responsible for all EHS licenses/Permit, convening Emergency Response Team members and implementing, conduct Emergency Drill and Response Plan.

• Be responsible for incident and injury reporting, investigating and corrective actions, and follow up corrective and preventive actions and ensure effective closure.

• Be responsible for identifying and forecasting EHS training needs and ensure the completion of EHS training for relevant employees.

• In charge of contractor/supplier management and ensure all contractor/supplier follow up Company EHS standards and requirements

• Participate in the process of the Power Expansion Project ensuring that it meets Company EHS requirements

• Reporting to the SHEQ manager

 What skills and experience do you need?

• University degree in science required, with safety engineering/ environmental engineering/ chemical engineering/ mechanical engineering is recommended.

• Possess the Certificate required by Manpower Ministry Regulation, Responsibility and Power to be Occupational Health and Safety Officer / Menaker registered Ahli K3 (General or Mechanical or Electrical)

• 3-5 years of environmental, health and safety experience required

• Good knowledge of Manpower Ministry Regulation, Designation Protocol, Responsibility and Power of Occupational Health and Safety Officer in Indonesia OSH laws and regulations under the Work Safety Act (Law No. 1, 1970).

• Good knowledge on implementing, understanding rules and regulations of the Safety and Health Standards related to Air Emission, Noise, Waste & Water, Industrial Hygiene, Workplace Ergonomic, Fire Safety, Training and ISO Systems.

• Excellent English Language oral & written skill.

LEAD SECURITY

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible to manage a multifaceted asset protection department across multiple sites within the Processing Plant/ Mill Expansion Project.

• To ensure the assets of the Processing Plant/ Mill Expansion Project are safe and adequately protected to prevent it from going missing, being stolen, robbed or damaged or else being accessed by unauthorized person.

• To alias with company holding Security Department to ensure that all security requirements of company are being met and complied with in the Processing Plant/ Mill Expansion Project.

• Direct the activities related to asset protection in order to protect the Processing Plant/ Mill Expansion Project assets.

• Manage operations responsible for controlling site access including inspecting vehicles, checking in visitors and checking for employee name tags.

• Manage the conduct of investigations into incidents in line with company holding ethics tool.

• Assess security problems; devise appropriate responses; review actions with staff; inform superiors of unusual events.

• Manage all physical security requirements for areas under control.

• Determine electronic security system requirements and recommend additions or changes.

• Direct activities during emergency situations by staying apprised of emergency response systems, monitoring emergency activities and supervising response personnel.

• Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with security efforts.

• Keep senior management apprised of any developments or problems that may interfere with process or cause property loss.

• Direct the activities of contractor security personnel; review activities and determine the need for special security arrangements for activities or events.

• Meet all monthly and weekly reporting requirements.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Tertiary degree in a related security discipline.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in security, law enforcement or military operations in Mining and or Processing Plant Construction/ EPC Industry experience is preferred.

• Minimum 8 years project management experience as Senior Supervisory role as Lead/ Coordinator/ Advisor security operations with multi facet teams in resource or industrial sectors.

• Contract management experience; have depth understanding and demonstrate of Project management in related field and gold mining technology and mining security applications; International exposures to security management system is an advantage; Demonstrated budgeting and cost control skills.

• Have skill set of Conduct studies and collect data to detect sources of loss and risks; Organize and interpret information and identify necessary corrections; Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports on loss and loss mitigation strategies; Prepare reports and correspondence related to the security risks, crimes and incidents.

• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring; good analytical; conflict resolution; Possess strong liaison skills; Possess strong influencing skills and the ability to develop an effective Security Team across multiple sites; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; Manage multiple sites and tasks at the same time; High level of integrity and commitment.

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate;

• Contract Project based.

SPECIALIST INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE & OCCUPATIONAL

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible for safety, health, loss control prevention of Support area within their geographic areas of responsibilities.

• Implement Industrial Hygiene (IH) systems, sampling and monitoring compliance annually that match with IH monitoring plan, requirement, regulation, and technical standards

• Maintain IH and safety equipment availability, supervise area, and develop program with the related skills and knowledge of Industrial Hygiene and Safety technical support practices

• Assist and Coordinate with supervisor and business partners related to IH and Safety Technical Support programs in their area

• Coordinate with Occupational Health/Clinic doctor and area responsible related to Health Risk Assessment (HRA), MCU program, and Return to Work Capability Assessment (RWCA) schedule.

• Involve and Facilitate Safety risk and opportunity register

• Conduct internal audit related with Occupational Health and Safety related with regulation and company standards.

• Involve and review of SHLP controlled documents based on Information register, audit and risks assessment findings and Company Standards and procedures.

• Identify and manage continuous improvement opportunities and assignment of resources to review and implement safety standard.

• Prepare internal and external reports related with safety and occupational health (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semester, and annual)

• Maintain SHLP database reporting system internal (EHS Manager 360) and external reporting DEMR (SIMKP Minerba)

• Ensure SHLP Database system (EHS Manager 360) work properly

• Prepare work schedule, equipment availability, sampling analysis, and develop with the related skills and knowledge of Industrial Hygiene and Safety technical support practices.

• Build strong expertise in own field, clearly understand own and team objectives/goal, and deliver consistent high performance.

• Establish and maintain close communication with department users thru monthly safety meeting, SSE Meeting, Business Partners Quarterly Meeting, safety Committee Meeting, Annual Risk Register, Internal Audit SMKP.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field experience such as occupational health, doctor, chemistry, health care, nursing, and biology equivalent is preferable.

• Hold an Industrial Hygiene certificate from National Professional Certification Board

• Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of positions; poses relevant technical inspector certificate

• Minimum Five (5) years working experience in in conducting Industrial Hygiene sampling and monitoring or equivalent experience obtained during the pursuit of work experience

• Must understand Mine Safety Management System philosophies and know Indonesian safety regulations

• Good understanding of mining process

• Must understand food hygiene & Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP)

• Possession of a high standard of management skill

• Have ability to prioritize work in order to drive continuous improvement

• Be able to speak to groups and communicate abstract concepts

• Able to use any kind of reporting tools would be preferable.

• Well-developed computer skills to be able to implement and maintain effective systems and processes

• Good report writing skills.

• Excellent computer skills and be competent in software package, statistical program, equipment software, database software, power point and graphic software

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
