We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:

Manager OHS Operations (927692)

(Jakarta)

In this role, you will:

- Provide Health & Safety functional support to sites towards achieving; the safety objective of “Everyone Safe Everyday”, compliance with the company policy and procedures, and to meet legislative requirements.

- Implement improvements to Thiess Safety Management Systems to ensure the conservation of people, property, environment and profits.

- Ensure the compliance of Safety Management Systems through regular monitoring programs so as to provide assurance that we meet our safety obligations for our people, business, legal, statutory, clients, community and shareholders.

- Represent the company in government or industry safety groups and programs.

- Responsible to facilitate the health and safety of employees through education, training and demonstration of the right behaviors. This is to include:

- Facilitate the review and implementation of Leadership and Risk Assessment training at Supervisory and Superintendent level.

- Assist in identifying safety training gaps on projects

- Conduct regular reviews on safety performance and implementation of TSE standards, site risk management controls and safety improvement initiatives.

- Conduct reviews of Project Risk Management controls.  To include:

- The quality of Jobs Observations, inspections and internal audits.

- Critical Control Verification or observations on Projects’ identified high risk activities.

- Promote operational (Coordinators /Superintendent) ownership of incident investigations, and review investigation reports to ensure integrity of findings.

- Ensure close out of incident investigation reports and related actions within time frame.

- Periodically compile and review incident data analysis and identify and implement improvement programs.  This is to include injury prevention programs towards achieving TRIFR targets.

- Participate in investigations of significant incidents and identify deficiencies in risk control programs.

- Conduct site Safety Audits as per schedule.  Follow through on audit outcomes and provide assistance as required.

- Assist site team with preparation for external audits and continued compliance with ISO45001 - 2018 and SMKP.

- Monitor and follow-up on project corrective action status to ensure that they do not become overdue.

- To be involved and informed in the implementation of health improvement initiatives and awareness programs.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Tertiary-level qualifications in a safety, engineering or similar discipline.

• Minimum of 10 years professional experience in Mining Industries and 5 Years' Experience in Superintendent or Manager Roles in Occupational, Health & Safety.

• Experience as Lead Auditor of Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems

• ICAM Investigation

• Risk Management

• Fluent in English is a must

EOI Superintendent Security (927721)

(Jakarta)

In this role you will:

- Coordinate implementation of the Site-Specific Security Plans with the appropriate managers, superintendents, supervisors and team leaders.

- Coordinate with 3rd party, national, state security services and emergency services as appropriate.

- Undertake regular security inspections/reviews of workplaces to ensure the continuation of appropriate security measures.

- Enhancing security awareness and vigilance of Thiess Indonesia personnel.

- Working with the relevant authorities and maintaining records of occurrences which threaten the security of the Thiess operations.

- Conduct workplace/site specific security training.

- Conduct Country/Region/City/Location Security Reviews for existing and new projects/workplaces.

- Conduct Hotel Security Surveys on all non - International SOS preferred hotels that is used with the region.

- Facilitate the revision and maintenance of Thiess Indonesia Site-Specific Security Plans.

Deputy Project Manager (927719)

In this role, you will:

- Create and empowered and challenging team culture that delivers outstanding performance in HSE & Q and achieves successful project performance

- Provide leadership to employees through proactive management of key employee drivers such as industrial relations issues, absenteeism, motivation, change and performance management

- Explain HSE expectations to direct reports and ensure they understand and deliver to their HSE accountabilities

- Establish and maintain a harmonious client relationship to assist project delivery and enhance client satisfaction

- Manage relationship to subcontractors to ensure a high level of performance in terms of time, cost & quality

- Plan, direct & control the flow of work for a mining project including estimating time, budget, reporting & mining schedules

What skills and experience do you need?

• Graduate from bachelor’s degree in engineering/Mining or similar discipline.

• Minimum of 12 years previous experience in construction & Engineering / Mining (Coals)

• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction / mining management principles and practices.

• Has experience in Client relations

• Have a good understanding of Subcontract management & project management

• Certified in POP, POM, POU

EOI Supervisor Mining (927715)

(MSJ)

In this role, you will:

- Coordinate all Leading Hand Coal, Operators and employees Mining Crew in the workplace of the removal of overburden / interburden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget

- Achieve daily targets of machine utilization and ensure that crews are achieving productivity target for their area

- Discuss and assist senior supervisor for the issue from previous shift and to plan next shift

- Ensure all personnel are delivered to their workplace on time

- Do a pre shift inspection of the mining and dumping areas

- Do a weekly walk around inspection of the designated area of responsibility

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Senior High School grade same experience with minimum 5 years in large open cut mining operation/mining heavy industries

• At least 5-year experience as Supervisor in coal hauling road maintenance

• Understand with the current mine plan and future deployment of equipment within area of responsibility

• Able to operate mining equipment

• You should be able to work under deadlines, be fast paced and mobile, have strong motivation, organize and provide direction to employees, have effective communication, good teamwork and leadership skill.

Planner Plant (927714)

(Balikpapan)

In this role, you will:

- Deliver the Thiess Planning Monthly Commitments through the Planning Team and onto relevant sites

- Assist and advise Site teams as required for developing Planning Strategies

- Check component change out information integrity in JDE MMA prior to placing orders

- Receipt Ordered goods into JDE, Pack Goods into ‘Site Job Lots’ ready for dispatch if required

- Liaise with the Asset Lead – Reliability to monitor, review and update Fleet Reliability processes

- Support Reliability processes implemented by the Asset Reliability Team

- Travel to site as required for Long Term Planning purposes

What skills and experience do you need?

- Trade qualification / Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications / experience

- Experience in maintenance operations with large mining equipment

- Experience in scheduling and planning maintenance activities for large mining equipment

- Experience working with Maintenance Warehousing and Inventory management processes

- Experience working with crews in a maintenance environment is preferred

- Proficient in MS Office

- Competent in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g. JDE)

- Knowledge of contract management, including subcontractors

- Highly effective communication skills

- Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and influence outcomes

Senior Engineer Plant (927495)

(Jakarta)

In this role, you will:

- Ensure all plant rates are calculated in strict compliance with company policies (depreciation, finance, minor repairs, and insurance) and ensure the rates are smooth with minimal variance within classes, except where justified regularly, making sure no large gain/losses to the Plant Results.

- Maintain a register of all plant component replacement costs (PEX and Reman) for all classes of plant, updated in JDE annually following the allocated schedule, making sure the current budget reflects actual cost.

- Ensure PM Schedules budget component price and lives are updated correctly following the PMS Strategic Updates following the allocated schedule, making sure that we are not lagging behind

- Conduct Supplier Reconciliations when new pricing is proposed.

- Provide support to the Plant Group through the preparation of the reports (Plant Engineering, Tyre Excess and Cost Benchmarking Report) and provide analysis to the report results.

- Calculate Tender RM forecast (Major repair and Undercarriage) and financial analysis up to 20 years project duration

What skills and experience do you need?

- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineer with 5-year related experience as Mechanical Engineer preferably from mining industry

- High level proficiency in Excel

- Good analytical thinking

- Able to communicate in English (written and verbal)
