An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining and has a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

To support our Operation Power Maintenance Team with a variety of projects and challenging tasks, we are looking for highly motivated professionals eager for brave thinking, foster innovation, and build collaboration to achieve operational excellence to fill the following position :

MANAGER POWER PLANT

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Ensure Department’s compliance with the requirement of Indonesian Government Agencies, lending institutions, shareholders’ interests, environmental, health & safety legislation and company regulations.

• Accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of maintenance and contract workers under, or assigned to, his/her supervision.

• Develops and upgrades maintenance strategic plans to cover life of mine requirements on a timely basis.

• Deploys maintenance life plans for Power assets based on criticality and using reliability centred maintenance techniques.

• Optimizes the availability of Power assets by ensuring that planned downtime is kept to the minimum required.

• Optimizes the reliability of Power assets by ensuring unplanned downtime is investigated and driven towards zero.

• Optimize the costs of maintaining power assets by improving maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Responsible for the continued development, management and evaluation of manpower, operating and capital projects and budgets for the Power Plant team

• Maintains maintenance performance by monitoring appropriate indicators with timely reporting.

• Implement projects and programs within the Power Department that provides continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of safety, environment, people, production and costs.

• Acts as the Assistant Supt of the power plant when needed.

• Ensures the transfer of technology, skills and experience from employee to employee.

• Responsible for monitoring activities of contract maintenance personnel supporting the Power Department’s effort.

• Liaises and coordinates with stakeholders to ensure they are fully informed of maintenance activities to ensure timely and proper outcomes occur.

• Participate in internal and external improvement initiatives outside of the immediate department’s needs as required from time to time.

• May be required to travel to and assist other domestic and international from time to time.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Degree in relevant engineering discipline.

• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Ten (10) years of related experience in progressive technical and supervisory experience. Experience in the management and administration of budgets and financial controls in a multinational company.

• Fifteen (15) years of direct related experience in progressive technical and supervisory experience.

• Demonstration of outstanding management, human relation and technical skills.

• Demonstration in participation of management/supervisory training development programs.

ENGINEER RELIABILITY – POWER PLANT

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations

• Analyses preliminary engineering-design concepts of major product, such as electronic communication or control system to recommend design or test methods for attaining customer-specified operational reliability, using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies: Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering program to achieve customer reliability objectives

• Analyzes projected product utilization and calculates cumulative effect on final system reliability of individual part reliabilities

• Drafts failure mode and effect analysis sheets or formulates mathematical models, using computer-aided engineering equipment, to identify units posing excessive failure risks and support proposed changes in design

• Enters data to simulate electrical inputs, transient conditions, temperature, stress, and other factors to develop computer models, and analyzes and adjusts design to predict and improve system reliability

• Advises and confers with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and recommendations

• Determines units requiring environmental testing and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data

• Reviews subcontractors' proposals for reliability program and submits evaluation for decision

• Reviews engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.

• Observes conduct of tests at supplier, plant, or field locations to evaluate reliability factors, such as numbers and causes of unit failures

• Monitors failure data generated by customer using product to ascertain potential requirement for product improvement

• May propose new procedure to ensure effective and efficient Power Plant.

• Apply continuous improvement techniques and processes to improve customer service

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical power engineering;

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in role of reliability engineering and management in power plant project management; Previous Power Plant operation experience will become added value; Have a minimum of 3 years of experience operating and maintaining the electrical equipment and systems of a Power Plant is a must;

• Familiar with reliability failure distributions; Experience in developing test plans and sample size planning;

• Ability to visualize problems and articulate solutions while in front of an audience; Possess a strong and positive attitude; Ability to work cross-functionally; High level of personal enthusiasm and self-motivation; Drives for results. Sense of urgency and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines; Inspires trust and open communication;

• Proficiency at conveying technical information with an engaging presentation style to a diverse group of people.

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate

SPECIALIST POWER ELECTRICAL – POWER PLANT

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Execution skilled trades duties in the modification, installation, replacement, testing, repair or monitoring of electrical equipment, system, or facilities.

• Monitor and control costs on Power Plant & Electric System projects; and requisition supplies and equipment to complete assigned projects.

• Develop maintenance standards and guidelines for all Power Plant & Electric System electrical equipment.

• In coordination with Planner, recommend minimum spare parts needed for Power Plant & Electric System electrical equipment.

• Maintain and execute any Protective Relay coordinated settings and calibrations.

• To be part of investigation and corrective action for all Power Plant & Electric System electrical equipment failures and/or damage.

• Orient, train, assign and check the work of other employee; act as a “lead” on Power Plant & Electric System electrical projects under Engineer supervision

• Perform all duties in accordance with established safety procedures; inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering specifications or building codes.

• Provide a plan for purchasing goods, spare parts, replacement of electrical equipment at the Power Plant based on maintenance recommendations or due to damage

• Provide suggestion related to third party technical services (Contractors) related to new projects, shutdowns or other special conditions in the form of scope of work, supervise the implementation of electrical contractor work and ensure that work is carried out according to the scope of work.

What skills and experience do you need?

• A Tertiary degree in electrical engineering,

• Has minimum 4 years’ experience working in similar role as Specialist Power Electrical/ Engineer Power Plant in power plant project management; Previous Power Plant operation experience; Have a minimum of 4 years of experience operating and maintaining the electrical equipment and systems of a Power Plant;

• Certified of Competency for Frontline Operational Supervisor of OHS and Mine Environment from DEMR; Having Ahli K3 Listrik certificate is preferred as additional level

• Working knowledge of computer systems (control systems, computerized relay systems).

• Specific experience with the GE Multilin relays used on the project electrical system.

• Understand the working principle, operate, and maintain SCADA/ILS; Understand the working principle, operation of electrical equipment (Generator, Transformer, Motor, Feeder, DC system, Transmission and Distribution, Control Circuits, Switchgear, MCC, etc.)

• Good written and oral communications skills; Fluency in English language is very necessary

 

ENGINEER PROCESS CONTROL – POWER PLANT

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Schedule and coordinate the work of project members in order to complete work on time and within budget parameters.

• Develop departmental procedure and policies (STP development).

• Design PLC/DCS logic and graphical screen interfaces. Develop standardized programming and calibration procedures.

• Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities and devise new approaches to problems encountered.

• Develop and maintain a systematic recording system for tracking all PLC/DCS changes.

• Oversee new equipment installations which interface with a PLC or DCS control system.

• Ensure the transfer of technology from expatriate to National employees and the promotion and support of National employee training and skill development.

• Investigate report, recommend and implement corrective actions for power Plant Control System equipment and logic failures.

• Serve as technical expert for power plant instrumentation.

• Supervise and develop the Power Plant Controls team.

• Plan and conduct surveys, tests or investigations, interpret results, and prepare recommendations, summaries, schedules, and cost estimates.

• Meet with representatives of other departments to coordinate planning and scheduling activities

What skills and experience do you need?

• A Technical degree in electrical engineering, or process controls.

• Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of positions; poses relevant technical inspector certificate.

• Minimum of ten years’ experience in PLC/DCS systems in the Power Plant industry (include: installation, logic development, programming, calibration, and record keeping), or in a specialty area are necessary.

• Have or working towards a degree in electronics/electrical engineering with a minimum of three years’ experience in PLC/DCS systems.

• Experience in DCS and Windows OS

• Experience with Bailey infi90 distributed control systems (DCS), Conductor NT symphony software, microprocessor control systems, Wartsila Engine Control System (W.E.C.S), continuous environmental monitors system (EDAS CEMS), ABB 800xA, ABB Advance software, Factory link, SCADA, ETAP Intelligent Load Shedding.

• Must have very good English reading, written and oral communication skills

• Must have very good mathematical and statistical skills.

• Able to perform detailed system and PLC

• Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety; Good analytical; conflict resolution;

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate
