Copper Gold Mining Company – EPC Power Expansion; 3 Positions

An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining, and have a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

To support our EPC Project – POWER PLANT, we are looking for highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the following position :

MANAGER TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION – EPC POWER

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Study and review the design, plant and equipment specifications and other technical documentation, including O&M manuals and equipment manuals, ensuring conformance to specifications and standards and to the Owner’s requirements.

• Develop and manage the engineering design schedule and the document and information exchange schedule between the project team, the Engineering Consultant, equipment suppliers and the construction team and construction contractors (internal and external project stakeholders).

• Manage and control the document and information exchange process between internal and external project stakeholders.

• Manage terminal points and software interfaces between internal and external project stakeholders.

• Take overall responsibility for construction, as T&D Construction Manager.

• Develop the construction schedule with the support of internal and external project stakeholders.

• During construction and commissioning, ensure that the correct documentation, drawings and other technical information are made available to the site teams.

• Investigate and solve technical issues relating to drawings and engineering that will come up during construction and commissioning.

• Take overall responsibility for commissioning, as T&D Commissioning Manager.

• Develop the commissioning schedule with the support of internal and external project stakeholders.

• Manage the Owner’s, as well as the external parties’ commissioning teams.

• Coordinate contractor support required for commissioning, including scope and contract development and implementation.

• Plan and schedule resources (manpower, service providers, spares and consumables, tools and equipment) needed to carry out commissioning activities.

• Plan and execute plant and equipment performance testing.

• Develop and manage the training plan and training schedule, incorporating internal and external resources.

• Submit necessary reports and recommendations to the Project Manager concerning project status and problems.

• Formulate safety procedures and contribute to safety improvement in workplace by considering risk factors during commissioning activities.

• Ensure compliance to codes, regulations and standards.

• Responsible for the safety of the people under his control and for maintaining good housekeeping.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum 10 years project and technical management experience of HV switchyards and transmission systems, of which at least 5 years in a similar or equivalent position.

• Strong communicator, self-assured, able to work independently.

• A thorough understanding of the project cycle, the ability to prioritise activities and to drive it to completion and to anticipate pinch points.

• Very good knowledge of SLDs, HV switchgear and substations, HV specifications and protection, able to read and understand technical documentation and to make an expert evaluation thereof.

• Experienced in planning and executing project, construction and commissioning activities.

• Hands-on experience of commissioning systems and equipment in HV T&D systems.

• Good knowledge of HV, transmission and HSE codes and standards.

CHIEF ENGINEER COSTING – EPC POWER

(National - Site Based)

• Provide budget project in accordance with approved design construction engineering plan;

• Review progress, control and maintain cost as per budget;

• Provide and review weekly and monthly costing report;

• Provide forecasting report; set up monthly, yearly budget plan; ensure cost in the right allocation in SAP costing and provide journal report in monthly bases;

• Ensure production data accurately reported for progress; check and review additional work/day work claim;

• Check explosive materials and accessories back charged by Client;

• Provide and communicate the weekly cost report to related department for any possible improvement; check and review daily costing of infrastructure division; review civil works/infrastructure progress and report variance cost against budget.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Applicants should have a minimum Diploma or Bachelor degree in Civil/ Economic/ Industrial or Engineering in related discipline with minimum 10 years in the Mill Expansion Process Fixed Plant Construction or EPC industry in similar role as Chief/ Senior Engineer Cost and minimum 4 years in site based with demonstrated project management, cost control and planning skills;

• Proficient in Ms Project, Ms Office, and Desktop Publishing Package; proficient in Resources Analysis; proficient in Cost Control utilizing software such as SAP or other ERP will be additional advantage

• Possess leadership traits and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; computer literate

COORDINATOR HSE – EPC POWER

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• To performs supervisory duties; audits compliance with company and national policies, procedures and programs; assists line supervisors with training, communications and implementing project Loss Control philosophy.

• To analyse department statistics and develops and implements programs to address deficiencies

• To advise management of regulatory requirements and proposes methods to meet the current safety regulations;

• Custodian for Health Safety Loss Prevention (HSLP) risk and opportunity register

• Facilitate risk assessment process;

• Coordinate the development and review of HSLP controlled documents based on Information register, audit and risks assessment findings and company standards;

• Schedule, coordinate and conduct HSLP audits against company standards and procedures; 

• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and develop project charters and assignment of resources to review and implement;

• Conduct training in HSLP programs, systems and tools;

• Develop reports and make presentations as required;

• Conduct quality reviews of internal and external reports prior to submittal

• Manage improvement projects- e.g. lean;

• Fill operational HSLP roles when required;

• Implements training procedures for Safety/Loss Control staff in line with company Succession Planning Policy;

• Audits compliance to Indonesian safety rules and company policies, procedures and programs;

• Assists managers in the implementation/ supervision of Safety/ Loss Control activities.

• Implements and emergency response procedures;

• Advises line management regarding safety rules, regulations, trends, statistics and compliance with rules;

• Analyses data from accident investigations, observations and inspections to assure management that programs are working as intended. Proposes alternatives to programs that are not working as intended;

• Prepares work schedules and progress reports;

• Assist industrial hygiene sampling, surveys and manages a hearing conservation and spirometers program, Medical check Up program.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental qualifications or relevant qualifications with minimum 10 years’ HSE experience.

• Have experience in EPC Industry/ Geo Thermal Power Plant construction operation practice is a must with minimum of 5 years’ experience as Senior Supervisory role/ Coordinator in HSE area.

• The candidate should possess HSE System Trainings (Investigation, Risk Assessment or other HSE Trainings supported the system);

• Have strong knowledge about safety, health & environment standard (SMK3, OHSAS 18001, Safety Auditor, Risk Management process) and government safety regulation; understand about HSE standard on EPC/ Geo Thermal Power Plant Construction activities; Familiar with Safety management at all levels.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring; good analytical; conflict resolution;

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate;

• Contract Project based.
