Exploration period for Baturaden geothermal area extended

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has approved a request made by PT Sejahtera Alam Energy to get an extension of exploration period at the Baturaden geothermal working area in Central Java Province.

Then minister of energy and mineral resources Sudirman Said signed on July 19 ministerial decree No 6106k/30/MEM/2016, approving the extension of the exploration period.

According to the copy of the decree, obtained by petromindo.com on Monday, the exploration period has been extended until April 10, 2017.

Sejahtera Alam obtained the Baturaden geothermal area concession, which spans a number of regencies in Central Java including Banyumas, Tegal, Brebes, Purbalingga and Pemalang, through provincial administration decree dated April 11, 2011, which was later adjusted to ministerial decree dated November 16, 2015.
