Government repeats tender for Gunung Galunggung geothermal area

The Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced Tuesday it will repeat the pre-qualification tender for the Gunung Galunggung geothermal working area in West Java.

The directorate said in the announcement that individual companies or consortiums interested to participate in the tender can get registration document on November 9-25 at the tender committee secretariat with the following address:

Jakarta Pusat

The document can also be retrieved via www.ebtke.esdm.go.id starting November 10.

Meanwhile, submission of the registration documents can be made on November 10-25, from 9 am till 3 pm at the above same address.

Gunung Galunggung geothermal working area:
Location: Regencies of Tasikmalaya and Garut, and mayoralty of Tasikmalaya, West Java.
Area size: 57,330 Ha
Estimated reserve: 160 MW
Estimated geothermometer: 250-300?C
Development capacity plan: 110 MW
Development scheme: Total Project.
Ceiling price: 15.5 US cents per kWh ((based on the energy and mineral resources ministry?s regulation (Permen ESDM) No.17/2014).
Commercial Operation Date (COD) target: 2024.
