Government unveils PQ tender for N. Maluku geothermal project

The Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Tuesday unveiled PQ tender for the Gunung Hamiding geothermal working area in Halmahera Utara Regency, North Maluku Province.
The directorate said in a statement that the 42,100-ha Gunung Hamiding geothermal working area has a probable reserves of 265 MW, with a plan to develop a 20 MW power plant. Ceiling price for the electricity output is set at 22.5 US cents per kWh. The commercial operation date for the project is targeted in 2024.
The directorate said that interested bidders, individual company or consortium, can get the registration document on September 27-October 20, 2016 between 09.00 and 15.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) with the tender committee at the directorate?s office with the following address:
