Pandeglang said to have 225 MW geothermal potentials

The Gunung Karang area of Pandeglang regency in Banten province is believed to have enough geothermal resources to generate 225 MW of power.

This was said by Pendeglang?s Mining and Energy Head Girgijantoro as reported by Antara news agency.

He said the tender to explore the area?s geothermal potentials was won by PT Sintesa Banten Geothermal (SBG). The firm is carrying out exploration activities there.

?The 225 MW geothermal potentials are just an estimated figure. Let?s wait for the result of the exploration by the firm,? he said. (*)
