Pertamina, Hitay-Dyfco consortium compete for Gunung Talang-Bukit Kili geothermal project

The Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced that state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and a consortium comprising of PT Hitay Daya Energy and PT Dyfco Energy have passed the first stage of bidding process for the Gunung Talang-Bukit Kili geothermal working area in West Sumatra.

No further details were provided.

The Gunung Talang-Bukit Kili is one of the two geothermal working areas whose tender process was repeated by the government in April. The other is Marana geothermal working area in Central Sulawesi.

The 27,000-ha Gunung Talang-Bukit Kili geothermal working area, located in Solok Regency, has estimated reserves of 65 MW, and a planned capacity development of 20 MW. Celing price for the geothemal project is set at 14.6 US cent per kWh, with a commercial operate date target of 2022.
