Pertamina to provide PLN with gas from for Jambaran-Tiung Baru-Cendana project

State owned oil and gas PT Pertamina (Persero) signed on Monday a Head of Agreement (HoA) with public utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to supply gas from the Jambaran-Tiung Biru-Cendana fields project in Central Sumatra for power generation
The gas will start to flow in 2018 at the volume of 100 mmscfd, Pertamina?s President Director Dwi Soetjipto said in a statement.
The signing of the HoA was witnessed by President Joko Widodo, the company said.
No details were provided regarding the period of the contract, the value of the contract as well as the power plants that will receive the gas. Dwi only said the HoA was part of Pertamina?s supports to the government?s 35,000 MW program.
Dwi also said Pertamina also supported the 35,000 MW program by developing geothermal power plants. The firm will increase its capacity of geothermal power plants to 907 MW by 2019 and 2200 MW by 2025 from 437 MW at present.
