PGE targets to drill 21 wells this year

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), is targeting to complete drilling a total of 21 wells this year, according to a top official of the firm.
?We have thus far completed drilling eight wells in Kamojang, Lahendong, Ulubelu, Lumutbalai, and Hululais areas respectively. Our target is to complete drilling a total of 21 wells by the end of this year,? PGE?s President Director Irfan Zaenuddin told Petromindo.com.
Next year, PGE plans to drill 23 wells, Irfan added.
The company is currently focusing on developing six geothermal power plant projects until 2019, among others Lahendong (2x20 MW) in North Sulawesi, Karaha (1x30 MW) in West Java, Ulubelu (2x55 MW) in Lampung, Lumut Balai (4x55 MW) in South Sumatra, Hululais (2x55 MW) in Bengkulu, and Sungai Penuh (2x55 MW) in Jambi, he said.
