PLN a step closer to developing Tulehu power plant in Maluku

State utility firm PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) signed Tuesday an engineering service contract for its 2 x 10 MW Tulehu geothermal power plant with West Japan Engineering Consultant (West JEC) and PT Connusa Energindo.

The signing was inked by PLN President Director Nur Pamudji, West JEC President Director Hiroshi Nagano and Connusa President Director Kohar Sutomo.

West JEC and Connusa will team up to carry our engineering service works for the power plant which is located in Salahutu, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku.

The works include reviews and analysis on study results, engineering design, pre-qualification and tender documents, tender, contract evaluation and negotiation, construction supervision and post construction services.

The contract will take effect immediately after the signing of a funding agreement for the project with JICA, which is expected soon.

The Tulehu project is a part of PLN's second 10,000 MW electricity generation crash program.
