PLTP Patuha to start operation in June

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik said on Wednesday that the 55 MW Unit 1 of PLTP Patuha geothermal power plant in Kendeng village, Pasir Jambu district, Bandung, West Java.

The minister made the announcement during the hearing with the House of Representatives? Commission VII which oversees energy affairs.

The power plant is owned by PT Geo Dipa Energi, a joint venture of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara and state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.

The new geothermal plant is one of dozens of power plants to be built as part of the government?s second-10,000 MW power plant development program.
