Tender for six geothermal working areas to be held in August

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is expected to open tender for six geothermal working areas next month, a delay from the initial schedule of April 2017, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Thursday.
?The tender announcement is scheduled to be made next month,? said Rida Mulyana, Director General of New and Renewable Energy at the ministry.
Rida said that the tender of the geothermal working areas was postponed as a new ministerial regulation governing the tender has yet to be completed, which is currently being finalized.
The six geothermal working areas to be offered to investors via tender include Telaga Ranu in North Maluku with capacity to produce 5 MW of electricity, Sekicau in Lampung (110 MW), Oka Ile Ange in East Nusa Tenggara (10 MW), Kapahiang in Bengkulu (110 MW), Gerandong in Aceh (55 MW), and Pandan in East Java (40 MW).
