Power Projects Onwards!
The apparent magnitude of power plants development prioritization by the Government of Indonesia marks a tremendous opportunity for power plant developers across the region, yet raising another question of what and where; the projects are desired. Other ambitious target is already set for the next 5 years period; and incentives are being prepared for small scale and large scale independent power producer (IPP). Hydro and coal based power plants remains attractive ventures to dig in, as they are being prioritized by PLN and government, knowing the resources are far behind developed.
A target of 35,000 MW has been set, meaning the government are eager, without no doubt, to build the power sector massively. IPP will play a crucial role, not only in the this program but also in other standalone projects, as IPP contribution are expected to deliver 70 percent of new power capacity. Indonesian government calculate around $20 billion of investment is needed to put the programs on track.
This two-day conference is specifically designed to give investor, financier, developer, and stakeholders clear directions of government's policies to push forward the power projects, PLN's detailed plan on the location, projects updates and of course, to hear financier's view on capital and money market. This is certainly an opportunity all stakeholders, investors would not be willing to miss.
