Safe and Efficient Blasting

Orica invite you and your colleagues to attend Safe and Efficient Blasting course to be held in Jakarta between 6 - 8 August 2019.

The SEB Course has been running in Indonesia for over 20 years and is widely recognised as the best classroom-based training course for Drill and Blast engineers, Supervisors, Superintendent and Managers in the extractive industries. In the last two years the SEB Course has been significantly upgraded to include new content, modelling and information about the latest blasting techniques and technology. Participants who attended a SEB course prior to 2017 will benefit from attending the new version of the course.

Course outcomes

The SEB Course is designed to help Drill and Blast Engineers, Blasting Supervisors, Superintendents and Managers make better blast design decisions, and understand the reasons for varying blast outcomes.  The focus of the course is on understanding the pros and cons of blast design choices within the context of surface mining.  Attendees will get the most out of the course if they have prior practical experience in a role with some exposure to drill and blast.
