Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (CoW) covering a total area of 1.303 km2.

The resource based on 31 December 2018 includes 8.1 Moz of Gold and 69 Moz of Silver, with economic ore reserves of 4.5Moz gold and 34Moz silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine is 5.9Mtpa ore to produce in excess of 350,000 oz of Gold and 2-3 Moz of Silver per annum.

PT Agincourt Resources engages approximately 2,600 employees and contractors which more than 70 % have been recruited from South Tapanuli and other regions in North Sumatra.

PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (PTDTN) is the majority shareholder of PT Agincourt Resources with a total 95% of the shareholding. The shareholders of PTDTN are PT United Tractors Tbk 60% and PT Pamapersada Nusantara 40%. These companies are part of the PT Astra International Tbk group. The 5% share ownership is owned by the Government of South Tapanuli Regency and North Sumatra Province (local governments). 

To strengthen the existing maintenance management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

WELDER/FABRICATION TRAINER

(LDD 1910065)

This position will be based at the Martabe Site in HR-LDD Department and working with roster 4 Weeks On : 2 weeks Off.

The Role of the Welder/Fabrication Trainer is to assist the Technical Development Supervisor develop, compile and manage the technical development programs & systems for the localisation development programs and other maintenance programs. Some of these programs will be technically skilled while others will be semi-skilled. To assist with the Gap Needs Analysis model for the localisation of targeted positions across all departments at Martabe. The model will be compiled in agreement with the Superintendent Technical Development and Senior Manager Human Capital Development.

A Welder/Fabrication Trainer is responsible for the implementation of training processes to ensure welder’s apprentices are properly educated in current mine practices and procedures

This role will be the architect for planning, developing, coordinating, and documenting all operations and/or quality training, including on technical training and on-the job (OTJ) training for assigned work groups within PTAR. The Welder/Fabrication Trainer reports directly with the Technical Development Supervisor.

The Welder/Fabrication Trainer must be knowledgeable in a variety of instructional techniques and formats and be able to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting manner. The Welder/Fabrication Trainer collaborates with technical development management to ensure the timely and effective completion of required training.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experiences:

1. Trades certification qualification in Boilermaker / Fabrication.

2. 10 years experience in the mining industry with 5 years as a Welders & Fabrication Trainer in Fixed Processing Plant and Experience in the learning & development of Apprenticeship training programs.

3. Understand the Indonesian Government regulations, requirements and guidelines for Apprenticeship Programs in Indonesia.

4. Must be a self starter who can work with minimal direction.

5. Must have good program development skills

6. Proven ability to meet agreed deadlines.

7. Good in written and verbal communications skill in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

8. Proven experience as welding trainer in mining or industry.

9. Significant experience and knowledge of training methodologies used in mining or industry for maintenance (skilled & semiskill professions)

10. Thorough knowledge of competency based training and assessment systems.

11. Experience in setting up training systems, including mapping competency requirements of each role in Learning Need Analysis / Training Need Analysis / Competency and Training Matrix / Training Packages.

12. Understand how to plan, schedule, and conduct training program in according in Apprenticeship training block.

13. Able to coordinate a multi-disciplinary team in providing training based services to customer in a mining or industry organization.

14. Can develop excellent relationships with peers, internal and external of PTAR and promote a learning culture throughout the organization.
