Thiess has a long journey of more than 30 years in Indonesia providing mining services for various projects and clients with head office in Jakarta and support facilities in Balikpapan including workshops and training center.

We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:

Specialist Contract (926324)

(Jakarta)

In this role you will:

• As required by our Procurement Policies and the Thiess quality systems undertake the delivery of internal stakeholder requests for the supply of goods and services through planning, negotiation and approval of the identified scope.

• Preparing tender documents with suitable conditions in order to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in term of minimize any exposure to risk for company

• Handover to internal owners the contract’s scope of work and technical specifications

• Monitor contract implementation to ensure that both, subcontractors and company follow the contractual requirements of the contract to ensure that company is not exposed to unnecessary costs or penalties.

• Evaluate and analyses all legal aspects of contracts and manage such to stay abreast of company change/risk.

• Develop and maintain terms and conditions for any contract agreements. Recommend modifications in order to accommodate regulatory, legislative, industry or Company changes.

• Analyze tender bid a establish the sub & supply contract agreements: Tender invitation announcement; Tender packet development; Tender participants selection; Tender Packet distribution; Tender Bid Analysis; Participants short listing; Final Evaluation/Clarification Meetings; Contract Value Reconciliation Analysis; and Contract Awarding.

• Maintain and manage the contract database and all associated files, duties include administration, tracking, and analysis, as well as communication of contract compliance.

• Monitor Supplier & Subcontractor performances during contract period.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Graduate from bachelor’s degree in economics, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or Business administration

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement/Contract with minimum 3 years of working experience as Specialist Contract or similar position from any industry background

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa, written and verbal; and Computer literacy

• Demonstratable ethical behavior that aligns with the values that Thiess stands for and identified in our Code of Conduct
