It has developed, financed, and installed over 1,000 utility-scale wind turbine generators in China, Italy, and the US and has active wind development in a number of other countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Morocco, and Tunisia. UPC is expanding its efforts in Indonesia with a long-term business plan to build a significant number of these Green Energy Projects throughout the country eg. developing several renewable energy projects throughout the archipelago; wind, solar, battery storage, biomass, hydropower, and hybrid systems. UPC is a fast-growing company and offers upward mobility to talented employees and is a leading renewable energy developer Company in Indonesia. UPC has successfully built (and now operates) the first utility-scale wind farm project (75 MW) in Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia and remains fully operational and performing to expectations.  

UPC Renewables Indonesia is currently looking for a candidate to join our team, with the following descriptions:

1. Position: Environment Officer

Location: Based in Jakarta (Local Hire)

Responsibilities

To coordinate the implementation of the Company’s Environmental Management System, Policies, & Procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, constantly reviewing environmental constraints and opportunities, develop AMDAL and Environmental Permitting as well as ensuring all operations performed in an environmentally responsible manner both Indonesian regulations for environmental management as well as international standards as defined by Equator Principles. 

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Environmental engineering/science

• Obtained Chemical Safety Certificate will be an advantage.

• 3-5 years experience in an environment

• Min 2 years experience as an environmental engineer in a similar industry

• Familiar with Environmental Management Systems & their implementation at an operational level.

• Previous experience in collating data and monthly/quarterly reporting

• Experience in performing audits & inspections including reporting and database

2.  Position: Wind Technical (Wind Engineer)

Location: Based in Jakarta (Local Hire)

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading and managing the solar/wind measurement and assessment resources including personnel, maintenance activities, financial activities (budgets as required, tracking and forecasting, if required), ensuring relevant staff pre-planning and performing scopes using safe processes/procedures, aligned to UPC SOP. Focus on the quality and integrity of solar/wind measurement data collection to the database, wind data monitoring, and yield energy analysis.

Requirements

• Excellent English/Indonesian language skills mandatory

• University Degree S1/S2 in Engineering with knowledge of wind/solar resource or experience minimum of 3 years in relevant wind/solar energy.

• Strong practical knowledge of GIS mapping and CAD would be preferred

• Experience using wind and solar modeling tools (Openwind, SolarGIS, etc) would be preferred

• Attention to detail is a desirable characteristic. The capacity to manage multiple projects and work independently is also required

• Excellent communication skills and team player, team leader skills, and chair and driver of the weekly Team meetings – planning tasks, delivery, HSE checks, and general on time / on-budget delivery

• Highly motivated and self-starter and excited to explore data and find deeper reasons for the results
