The Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR). The mining area covers an area of 30 km² which is under the sixth generation Contract of Work (COW) with a total area of 1,303 km². The Martabe Gold Mine is located on the west side of the island of Sumatra, Batang Toru Sub-district, North Sumatra Province.

The Martabe Gold Mine began full production on 24 July 2012 and has a resource base as of 30 June 2022, of 6.5 million oz of gold and 64 million oz of silver. The operating capacity of the Martabe Gold Mine is more than 7 million tonnes of ore per year to produce more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver per year. 

PT Agincourt Resources involves more than 3,000 employees and contractors, around 99% of whom are Indonesian citizens, and more than 70% are from local villages.

PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (PTDTN) holds 95% shares of PT Agincourt Resources. PTDTN is a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk. with 60% share ownership and PT Pamapersada Nusantara with 40% share ownership, as well as part of PT Astra International Tbk business group. A total of 5% of PT Agincourt Resources' shares are owned by South Tapanuli District Government and North Sumatra Provincial Government.

To strengthen the existing Processing (Metallurgy) team and to ensure the achievement of the department objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for a candidate to fill the role:

GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - METALLURGY (GDP-MTL01)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Metallurgy) Department and reports directly to Plant Metallurgist.

The role of the Graduate Development Program – Metallurgy is to monitor and report on all aspects of plant performance. A graduate will need time to learn more about mineral processing and another aspect which relate to production in processing plants. In the end, technical and operational support to the Operations Team to ensure that all metallurgical parameters and control strategies in the process plant are achieving design target parameters is the main expectation. Support the data entry clerk to complete timely metallurgy reports including the daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Assist development of technicians within the metallurgical laboratory and in the processing plant for the daily activities or survey campaign to monitor the plant performance. Bullion weighing in the gold room and shipment arrangement will also be responsible, for managing the shipment date work with the refinery fitting the schedule, execution of shipment from site to the refinery, and other task related to shipments. This position is to develop new graduates in the mineral processing industry and improve technical skills that will support the metallurgy team. This position will develop their skill to become a Plant Metallurgist.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Tertiary qualifications in either Metallurgy or Mineral Processing.

2. Good knowledge of production metallurgical roles within the resource sector.

3. Good knowledge of CIL/CIP gold processing.

4. Very good verbal and written English language skills.

5. Knowledge of the methods, tools raw materials, and technology used in the metallurgical processing environment.

6. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.

7. Ability to manage the work of metallurgical technicians on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

8. Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.

9. An understanding of the production flow sheet of a CIL Process Plant.

10. Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet.

GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – MINE GEOLOGY

(GDP-MG02)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Mine Geology Department, and reports directly to Mine Geologist.

The role of the Graduate Development Program – Mine Geology is to be involved in developing geology in the mining area and daily grade control activities. Providing proper geological field data to be incorporated with the ore block design, and also assisting the geologist in all technical purposes, under close supervision.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Tertiary qualification in Geology from a recognized university with GPA >3.0.

2. Fresh graduates are welcome, preferably have experience <2 years in mine geology or mineral exploration.

3. Preferably have Geology and or additional technical course.

4. Willing to work hard in field job base and trainable.

5. Strong computer skills, having a good knowledge of 3D modelling and/or Microsoft Apps and/or Power Bi Software will be an advantage.

6. Good communication and reporting in English, with preferably having TOEFL min 400.

7. Preferably have a driver’s licence.

8. Willing to work onsite base with a roster of 4 weeks on – 2 weeks off.

GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – MINE ENGINEERING (GDP-MIN01)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Mining Department and reports directly to Engineer – Short Term Planning and Long Term Mine Planning.

The role of the Graduate Development Program – Mine Engineering is to:

• Support Mine Engineering to create daily mine planning and deliver to mine contractor, continuously to review mine performance and daily reporting.

• Support Drill and Blast to create daily planning and deliver to mine contractor, continuously review mine performance and daily reporting.

• Support Mine Operations to monitor day-to-day mine operations to comply with the mine planning.

• Support Mine Engineering to deliver and provide the data to create weekly mine planning and deliver to mine contractor, weekly review mine performance and weekly reporting.

• Support Drill and Blast to deliver and provide the data to create weekly mine planning and deliver to mine contractor, weekly review mine performance and weekly reporting.

• Support Engineer updating all production data required to analyze and improve.

• Collecting data from the field needed for benchmarking and to generating daily plans and weekly plan.

• Support to ensure good mining practices are implemented in daily and weekly mining activity.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering; Master degree in Mining would be preferably.

2. Indonesian citizen, Bachelor's Degree at age 18 - 25 years old for Master's Degree/Post Graduate degree at age 24 - 28 years old, when enrolled.

3. Academic grade at the minimum of GPA 3.0.

4. Active in organization either academic or non-academic.

5. Computer literate such as MSWord, Excel, and Power Point.

6. English proficiency (supported with proper documenVcertificate e. g. , TOEFL: 400 atau IELTS: 4.0).

7. Full time commitment in the program by signing the Development Agreement Letter (including willing to be placed in Site under roster schedule).

8. Have the motivation, creativity, communication skill, and working in the team.

9. Have passion to learning new things and be open to being challenged.

10. Fleet management, mine sequences, and drilling/blasting.

11. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas.

12. Understood and good explain for basic mining works from L&H, Drill and Blast, Mine Planning and capaibility of mine equipment.

13. High commitment to PTAR standards in environment, safety, business ethic and good corporate governance.
