PAITON II POWER STATION

Under Indonesia’s private power programme, PT. YTL Jawa Timur operates and maintains this 2 x 610 MW Coal-fired Power Station. The station is located at Paiton, Probolinggo District of East Java, 141 km Southeast of Surabaya.

We currently have vacancies for the following:

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

This position responsibles to perform maintenance activities (Preventive and Corrective /Troubleshooting) at electrical machines (Generator, Motors, Switchgear, Transformers, DC Supply, etc) and its associated interlocking and protection system for all voltage levels.

Candidates for this position should possess following qualifications and competencies:

1. Maximum 40 years old.

2. Minimum Diploma 3 years (D3) in Electrical, Electronic or Engineering Physic from a reputable University or Polytechnic.

3. Having 5 years minimum in relevant experiences at heavy industries, mining or power plants.

4. Good skill and knowledge in Maintain Troubleshooting, Repair and Testing of Electrical Equipment and its Control, Report to Supervisor and Provide Technical Support to Engineers, Contribute to the Company Health, Safety and Environment Police.

5. Prefereble to have experiences HV Switchgear,Transformer, GIS, Porotection Relay.

6. Having capability to understand Equipment Manuals in English.

7. Capable and willingness to work under pressure, extended working hours and Call In scheme.

8. Accurate, reliable, enthusiasm and having good written and spoken English.

BOILER MECHANICAL FITTER

(Jr. Technician)

The Mechanical Fitter is part of the maintenance team to conduct inspection, repair and other maintenance activities on boilers, Air heaters, Fans, Pulverizers / coal mills, Pumps and associated equipment under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor.

Candidates for this position should possess minimum qualifications and competencies as follows:

1. Minimum Senior High School (STM or SMU). D3 is preferable.

2. Maximum age 35 years old this year.

3. Minimum 5 (Five) years hands-on maintenance experience of coal fired power plant or similar heavy industry especially as a Mechanical Fitter / Technician.

4. Experience of repair & maintenance of: Soot blower, Mill, Gearbox, Pump, Valves & bearing components, Oxy / acetylene cutting & welding, Rigging & slinging.

5. Having knowledge of maintenance process & methods especially of power plant equipment.

6. A sound knowledge of the safety rules particularly in coal fired power plant.

7. Having no difficulty working at height, good physical condition and strength with willingness to hard work.

8. Able to read and speak basic English will be preferable.
