PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining and processing within the Martabe Gold Mine. Our operational area is situated in Province of North Sumatra, with overall management functions based in Jakarta.

In 2023 employing a workforce of over 3,000 employees and contractors. Over 99% of our workforce are Indonesian Citizens (WNI), with more than 70% locally recruited. The Martabe Gold Mine, situated in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, spans 657 hectares per December 2023 and commenced production on July 24, 2012. It boasts an annual capacity exceeding 6 million tonnes of ore, resulting in an annual output of over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver.

All of the operation activity is governed by a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, the mining area has evolved from the original 6,560 km2 in 1997 to its present refinement of 130,252 hectares (1,303 km2), encompassing the South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies. The operational area of the Martabe Gold Mine in South Tapanuli Regency is 657 hectares as of December 2023.

To enhance the capabilities of the current Mine Geology team and to facilitate the fulfillment of departmental goals, Martabe Gold Mine is seeking a qualified individual to assume the position of:

JUNIOR MINE GEOLOGIST (MG 2403010)

This position will be based at the Martabe Site within the Mine Geology Department and will report directly to the Senior Mine Geologist - GC.

The responsibilities of the Junior Mine Geologist include:

1. Offering guidance and specialized knowledge regarding the geological aspects of gold-silver mining development and production.

2. Assisting in ensuring the quality of extracted mineralized rock.

3. Ensuring the safety of the ore extraction process.

4. Overseeing drilling programs.

5. Conducting pit mapping, sampling, and test work programs.

Applicants for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:

1. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Science.

2. Demonstrated experience of 1 - 2 years in mine geology, exploration, or resource development.

3. Essential proficiency in rock mineralization and alteration knowledge.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with 3D Geological modeling software is advantageous.

5. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

6. Willingness to undergo training and share knowledge with colleagues.

7. Ability to work both in the field and office settings for extended periods.

8. Fluent in English, with proficient written and verbal communication skills.

9. Excellent active listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.

10. Commitment to continuous self-improvement.

11. Ability to foster positive working relationships, understand and respect others, and build strong team dynamics.

12. Ability to create and manage realistic and comprehensive short-term and long-term work plans, including monitoring and evaluation of progress.

13. Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, process information, and solve problems. A proactive approach and ability to generate new ideas are valued
