An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining, and have a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

To support our operations with a variety of projects and challenging tasks, we are looking for highly motivated professionals eager for brave thinking, foster innovation, and build collaboration to achieve operational excellence to fill the following position :

SUPERINTENDENT – PROJECT CONTROL

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible to manage day to day to engineering Project control and Facilities & Services team,

• To manage the new Project for the design, cost estimation and follow up the installation and quality control including renovation and revitalization works, and responsible for maintenance the facilities area;

• Ensure the project schedule and project labor resources, including determine the business partners will do the projects;

• To make strategy plan, work with the planner team to ensure planning project in line with the company department strategy;

• Work together with SCM team and material control team, on Contract project follow up also follow up on project material;

• Reviews all Project schedules and coordinates activities with other departments related in order to ensure optimal equipment and operation availability to meet business need;.

• Project control on Budget spending, work together with planning section team to make sure the plan and actual spend is under control;

• Reviews and updates departmental procedures and policies, administers discipline, enforces company policy, and ensures compliance with state, federal, or other jurisdictional laws.

• Responds to emergencies that could cause injury to personnel or loss of operational efficiency;

• Develop, establish, implement and maintain Departmental policy, procedures and systems, and monitor the adherence of these procedures within company and its Business Partners;

• Develop and maintain departmental plans that are pro-active in planning to ensure that the day-to-day operational needs are met while counter balancing the strict Project and control requirements in line with Indonesian or better standards;

• Comply with P2K2, PTO and regular safety inspection (weekly or monthly);

• Provide report of the projects started during project design process, project construction until project completion;

• Inspect every task and to make sure all done in a good manner;

• Report to Manager all issue in the field related to employees or related to works;

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor of Civil/ Mechanical engineering with 5 years’ experience in Project Control management level or similar roles related to Project Infrastructure and Project control, as Lead/ Superintendent Engineering;

• Minimum 15 years project-based construction management experience, of which at least 10 years in a similar industry and equivalent position;

• Certified SKA Construction preferable;

• Previous experience managing project scopes in the range of $100 million up to $500 million dollar project scopes/budgets is required;

• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;

• Good knowledge of construction and erection contracts and standards

• Strong communicator, self-assured, able to work independently;

• A thorough understanding of the project cycle, the ability to prioritise activities and to drive it to completion and to anticipate pinch points.

• Experienced in planning and executing project, construction and commissioning activities;

• Good knowledge of Engineering Design all discipline for buildings and public facilities

• Familiar with engineering standard; expert on AutoCAD and Ms Project or Primavera.
