10 bidders pass Tanjung Ucang?s EPC pre-qualification tender

State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has announced that 10 tender participants, including top companies such as Medco Power, Wijaya Karya, Truba Engineering, Dalle engineering and Bakrie Power, have passed the pre-qualification stage for the EPC to build its combined cycle power plant (PLTGU) Tanjung Ucang in Batam. Nine of the participants are in the form of consortia, PLN said in a statement.

The complete list of members of the nine consortia is as follows; PT Truba Jaya Engineering, KEPCO E & C Korea and PT Navigat Energy; PT Perumahan Pembangunan and PT Betasurya Tatagraha; PT Wijaya Karya and PT Imeco Intersarana; PT Rekayasa Industri and PT Bakrie Power; PT Bagus Karya and Hubei Honyuan Power Engineering Co. Ltd; PT Remaja Bangun Kencana Kontraktor, PT Navigat Organic Energy Indonesia and PT Euro Asiatic Jaya; PT Medco Power Indonesia and Dalle Engineering Construction; PT Bangun Panca Sarana Abadi, China Huadian Engineering Co.Ltd and PT Dwipa Konektra; PT Poeser Indonesia and Lanco Infratech Ltd; PT Bima Golten Powerindo, PT Bangun Energy Resource and Hyundai Engineering Co.ltd.

The only non-consortium participant eligible for the next round of the tender is PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors.

The Tanjung Ucang power plant itself will be designed to have a generating capacity of 100-120 megawatt (MW).
