10 Renewable power projects signed

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan and state utility PT PLN President Director Sofyan Basir witnessed on Wednesday the signing of 10 contracts of renewable power projects between PLN (Persero) and renewable power projects developers.

PLN said in a press release on Wednesday that the contracts, which were signed as part of a seminar on electricity justice for the public and businesses, consist of Head of Agreement (HoA) on power development and procurement from solar power plant (PLTS) between PT. PLN and renewable power developers, and memorandum of understanding on feasibility study and analysis on stability system.

Following are the lists of HoA and MoU signed during the occasion:

Six HoA (Six projects with total capacity 45 MW):
1. PLTS Gorontalo 10 MW, Gorontalo, PT. Quantum Energi.
2. PLTS Pringgabaya 5 MW, Lombok NTB, PT. Infrastruktur Terbarukan Adhiguna.
3. PLTS Sengkol 5 MW, Lombok NTB, PT. Infrastruktur Terbarukan Cemerlang.
4. PLTS Selong 5 MW, Lombok NTB, PT. Infrastruktur Terbarukan Buana.
5. PLTS Kuta, 5 MW Lombok NTB, PT. Delapan Menit Energi.
6. PLTS Likupang, Minahasa 15 MW, PT Infrastruktur Terbarukan Lestari.

Four MoU (PLT Hybrid & Biomass):
1. PLT Biomassa, Siberut island, Mentawai Islands, by PT. Charta Putra Indonesia, and PT. Inti Karya Persada Teknik.
2. PLT .Hybrid (PLTS+PLTD/PLTMG), in Lombok, Bangka, Karimun Islands, Kupang, Minahasa and Gorontalo, by PT. Arsari Enviro Industri, and SUNPOWER SYSTEMS SARL.
3. PLT Hybrid (PLTS+PLTD/PLTMG), in Sumbawa, Bima/Sape, Lombok, Ambon, Madura/Ketapang/Bawean, Waena, Bombana, Bangka/Belitung, Nias, by PT. Sumberdaya Sewatama.
4. PLT Hybrid (Wind+Solar PV/Mini Hidro) in Selayar island, Kei Kecil island, Ambon, Buru island, by PT. UPC Renewable Indonesia, and PT. Binatek Energi Terbarukan.

Minister Jonan said during the signing ceremony that Indonesia needs to develop renewable energy which is abundant in Indonesia and friendly to the environment.

PLN?s Planning Director Nicke Widyawati said that PLN will continue to develop renewable power, especially for eastern Indonesia. ?We?ll continually push for the development of renewable energy to meet the target of 22.5 percent by the year 2025. We?re also developing smart grid and control system to increase the penetration of renewable power within the power system of PLN,? she said.
