12 geothermal projects stalled

The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry?s Energy Conservation, New and Renewable Energy Director General Rida Mulyana said that the development of 12 geothermal projects, which have the potential to generate power at 1,000 Megawatt (MW), has been stalled until now.
"We?ve summoned the developers of the projects for explanation on what problems causing their development to be stalled,? he said.
The 12 stalled projects are Baturaden which is developed by PT.Sejahtera Alam Energy; Telaga Ngebel by PT. Tangkuban Perahu Geothermal Power; Kaldera Danau Banten by PT Synthesa Energy Sentosa; Guci by PT.Spring Energy Sentosa; Cisolok Cisukarame by PT.Jabar Rekind Geothermal; Gunung Tampomas by PT Wijaya Karya Jabar Power; Ciater by PT Wahana Sembada Sakti; Hu'U Daha by PT Pacific Geo Energy; Sokoria by PT Sokoria Geothermal Indonesia, Cibuni by KJK Teknosa; and Jaboi by PT. Sabang Geothermal.
