12 villagers stage a protest at Exspan

Some 12 people of the Epil village in Musi Banyuasin regency in South Sumatera staged a rally on Monday at oil and gas firm PT Exspan Sumatera demanding the company to employ them, the local Sumatera Ekspres daily reported.

The protesters met with Exspan public relations officials. The officials promised the villagers next Monday with an answer to their job request.

Exspan had to call the Musyi Banyuasin Police to their operation site to secure the area from possible damage by the protesters. (*)
