Indonesia-listed mining contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk said there was 124 million tonnes (Mt) of "economic reserve" left at the Bengalon coal mine in East Kalimantan owned by its client PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC).

Darma said that the Bengalon mine is expected to finish in the next 14 years. Darma said that in the revised contract signed in March 2007, KPC agreed to extend the mining services contract until the ?economic reserve? of the Bengalon mine has run out.

Darma and KPC are both controlled by Indonesia-listed mining giant PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (denny)
