The Trade Ministry has issued export permits for 13 mining companies to export 14 mineral mining products, the Director General of international trade at the ministry, Deddy Saleh, said.

Deddy said that the 13 companies include two iron ore producers, a bauxite miner and 11 nickel producers.

?One of them is PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) which applies for permit for the exports of iron and nickel ores,? he said.

Deddy said that his office had also issued a registered exporter status for 50 mining companies after receiving recommendation from Mineral Resources Ministry.

He added that other 57 mining companies were currently under evaluation to get a registered exporter status.

Mining companies which will export unprocessed mineral products should receive a permit from the trade ministry as part of the government?s decision to restrict export of unprocessed mineral products.(*)
