The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said a total of 17.9 cargoes of LNG that Indonesia will produce this year still have no buyers.
?We still don?t know to where the 17.9 cargoes should be delivered. Ideally, they should be allocated for the domestic market. The domestic price is not much different from export price at present,? Director General of Oil and Gas IGN Wiratmaja said without specifying the producer of the LNG.
Indonesia now has three producing LNG plants, namely the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan province, the Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua province and the Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG) plant in Central Sulawesi province.
In May of this year, SKK Migas? LNG Commercialization Division Rayendra Sidik that the Tangguh LNG plant will produce 114 cargoes throughout the year and the cargoes have been sold out. Meanwhile, DSLNG?s Corporate Affairs Director Aditya Mandala told Petromindo.com in the past April that DSLNG will produce 36 cargoes this year and all have been committed to buyers in Japan and South Korea. In March of this year, Salis Aprilian, President Director of PT Badak NGL, the operator of the Bontang LNG plant said the plant will produce 152 cargoes this year but stopped short of unveiling the number of cargoes that have found buyers.
