2 consortia competing in FPU tender for IDD: SKK Migas

Upstream authority SKK Migas is awaiting the result of the tender for floating production unit (FPU) of the Chevron?s Indonesia Deepwater Development (IDD) project, where two consortia are left vying for the winner.

?This is Chevron?s internal matter. We?re waiting. The competing parties are consortium of McDermott and consortium of Tripatra,? Deputy of Business Support Control Gerhard M. Rumeser told petromindo.com.

The IDD project, located in the Makassar Strait is scheduled to be on stream in April 2015 for the Bangka field, November 2016 for Gendalo field, and May 2017 for Gehem field. The project is estimated to cost US$6.98 billion

Yanto Sianipar, VP Public Affair Chevron Indonesia told petromindo.com that the tender process is still underway.
