Two investors have expressed serious interest in taking over Anadarko Petroleum Company's asset in the Nunukan PSC in East Kalimantan, according to an official at upstream authority BPMIGAS.

The Indonesian unit of US oil and gas firm Anadarko plans to sell its upstream assets in Indonesia, including its 35 percent stake in the Nunukan PSC.

?I don?t know whether the sale has been carried out. The last time I met, Anadarko did say that the firm has narrowed down potential investors to two. But I cannot name names,? BPMIGAS Deputy of Planning Widhyawan Prawiraatmadja told petromindo.com.

Previously 6 investors were reportedly vying for Anadarko stake in the block. Anadarko is the operator of the block, which is also 40 percent owned by Indonesian PT Medco Energi, and the balance is owned by Indian firms Bharat Petroleum and Videocon.
