2002 fuel import seen rising to 14.19 million kiloliters

Indonesia?s fuel import this year will rise to14.19 million kilo liters from 13.31 million kiloliters, president of the state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina Baihaki Hakim on Thursday.
Speaking during a meeting with the House of Representatives Commission IX, Baihaki said that there would be no fuel processing deal with overseas refineries this year.
In comparison, last year?s fuel processing deal reached 1.33 million kiloliters.
Baihaki said that 2002 fuel output from domestic refineries was targeted to reach 43.11 million kiloliters, down from 45.59 million kiloliters last year. (Godang)
