$200m gas deals signed in Surabaya

State oil and gas company PT. Pertamina on Tuesday signed four gas supply agreements worth almost US$200 million with four buyers.

Under the gas sales agreements, Pertamina will supply a total of 13.63 TBTU of gas from its South Sumatra gas fields for 11 years to fire PT.Pura Daya Prima?s Musi II Power Plant in South Sumatra. The deal is worth US$38 million.

Pertamina South Sumatra gas would be supplied to PT. Elnusa Prima Elektra, which will build a power plant in Prabumulih, South Sumatra.

Pertamina also signed 10-year contract to supply 43.70TBTU of gas to PT. Tata Jabar Sejahtera worth $121 million. Gas from Pertamina?s West Java gas fields will be used for Tata?s power plant in Karawang, also in West Java. Pertamina will also supply a total of 3.37TBTU of gas worth $6 million for 5 years for industrial user PT. Rabana Gasindo Makmur in West Java.

During the signing occasion which was witnessed by Minsiter of energy and Mineral Resources, South Sulawesi PSC contractor PT. Energy Equity EPIC (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd. also signed an MoU to supply gas from its Sengkang gas field to State nickel and gold miner PT. Aneka Tambang. Energy Equity is planning to build mini-LNG plant in Sengkang and ship the product to fire Antam?s power plant in Pomalaa, South East Sulawesi. Antam will also build mini LNG receiving facilities in Pomalaa.

East Kalimantan gas producer also signed an MoU with pipeline operator PT. Indogas Kriya Dwiguna. (alex)
