25 coys submit PQ bid to supply fuel to PLN

25 companies have submitted pre-qualification bid to supply 2,2 million kiloliters of fuel to PLN?s 5 power plants, Deputy Director Tony Agus Mulyantono said on Monday.
Tony said that among the participants in the PQ bid are Shell, Petronas, AKR, Elnusa Petrofin and Sigma Rancang Persada.
Tony said the volume of the fuel to be bought was doubled as the company seeks to extend supply period from six months to one year starting second half of this year.
Another PLN official in charge of fuel tender Widayanto said that evaluation would take 3 weeks to complete and winner(s) would be announced in May 2007. Pertamina, which did not submit document, is considered to have passed the PQ bidding.
The fuel would be supplied to Grati, Gresik, Tambak Lorok, Muara Karang and Muara Tawar power plants, all are located in Java. (godang)
