Three companies have submitted letters expressing desire to farm in the Sekayu PSC block, onshore South Sumatra, owned by Star Energy Holding Pte Ltd, a London-based oil and gas firm, according to an industrial source.

The source, who requested anonymity, told Petromindo.com that the three companies are UK independent oil and gas firm Premier Oil Plc, Singapore oil and gas firm Loyz Energy Ltd, and Malaysian oil and gas company Tamarind Energy.

Star Energy has 100 percent interest in Sekayu PSC.

Sekayu block was awarded in 2007. Star Energy has acquired 204 km onshore 2D seismic in 2008, followed by a one well drilling (Cerah Sekayu-1 well) in 2010 with oil shows throughout the main reservoir target.
