3 remaining coal-fired power projects to be built next year: PLN

PLN president director Dahlan Iskan said in Jakarta on Monday that the three power plants would be the latest part of the 36 coal-fired power plants to be built under the first 10,000 MW Fast Track Program, which began three years ago.
Dahlan said that one of the three projects is the Adipala power plant that will be built in Cilacap, Central Java with a capacity of 600 megawatt (MW). It is scheduled for completion in 2014.
?Meanwhile, the power plant in East Kalimantan with a capacity of 2 x 100 MW, and the Riau plant with a capacity of 2 x 100 MW, will be completed in 2012 ,? he said, adding that PLN had secured all the funds needed for the construction of the power plants and their transmission projects.
