ASX-listed firm 3D Resources Ltd said it is exploring opportunities to acquire coal and gold assets in Indonesia.

With the recent announcements that the Indonesian government is considering repealing the legislation introduced in 2012 that restricted mineral exports, the company believes Indonesia may again present an attractive investment opportunity and will resume its efforts to acquire mining projects.

?The company remains particularly interested in high quality coal assets but has also reviewed data on gold and iron ore resources, with site investigations expected to resume in October,? it said in a quarterly report seen on Friday.

The company last year executed an MoU to acquire 100 percent stake in PT Aries It Indo, which owns a coal mining project in Southern Kalimantan.
