40 investors compete for C. Kalimantan coal-fired power plant project

As many as 40 domestic and foreign investors are competing for a Rp 1.2 trillion coal-fired power plant construction project now being tendered in Pulang Pisau, Central Kalimantan, Antara reported Thursday.

Under the plan, construction of the coal-fired power plant with a capacity of 2x60 MW is expected to start this year and come on stream on in 2009.

Central Kalimantan's head of Energy and Mining Office Halind Ardi expressed his optimism in Palangkaraya Thursday that the project would run on schedule. (*)
