Five companies have submitted letters expressing desire to farm in interest in the North Sokang PSC and Sokang PSC, both in Natuna Sea, owned by Indonesia-focused exploration firm Black Platinum Energy.

?Five companies have entered into our data room to review the data,? the firm?s CEO W. Judiana Ardiwinata told Petromindo.com.

He added that there are also national companies interested in the two blocks.

Black Platinum has a 100 percent interest in each the Sokang PSC and North Sokang PSC, which were awarded in late 2010.

?Since Black Platinum Energy is an exploration company, we are ready to sell up to 100 percent of our shares in the two blocks,? said Judiana.

The company acquired 1,600 km of new 2D seismic in the North Sokang PSC in early 2012. The company has also drilled two exploration wells named Dara 3 and Dara 4 and has been successful in discovering 920 bcf of dry gas.

?There is still a possibility of finding gas potential of approximately 2 to 3 tcf, if we drill additional wells,? he said.

Meanwhile, in the Sokang PSC, the company is still carrying out G&G study, according to him.
